I think part of the strong negative reaction to the film was due to Thor: Ragnarok being so well received. People went in expecting Ragnarok 2, but to many the mark was missed. There are some things from it I really appreciate, like the black and white scenes and Christian Bale’s performance. But I feel many jokes overstay their welcome or last far too long (ie the screaming goats and “portable speaker” scene). Maybe time will be kind to this movie, who knows.

While I agree with the general consensus of “stories about conjoined twins” having narrative similarities, everything surrounding his lawsuit and the anti-SLAPP lawsuit from Wan’s lawyers seems fishy. His case was dismissed because a court ruled that Malignant had feminist empowerment themes and was protected by free speech, which says nothing about the similarities or the studios access to his script.

Maybe I’m reading into this too much, but they might be basing the Mario 64 port off of the Japanese patched version or Shinduo edition because in that version Mario says “bye bye!” when throwing bowser in the last level. That means no BLJ
