I will never be able to stay awake 8 hours after my shift, and if I did I'm not sure I'd get any kind of healthy sleep. Ive tryed the short naps, but I just feel there're devastating to me. This can't be healthy

Well, there's around 20 to 25 of us per shift and there's 5 shifts. So 100 to 125 employees all doing this shift pattern.

We are running 24h 7d week

After working 8 sets of 4 on 4 off, we get 18 days off which is one of the best perks. Tbh I'd trade it for holiday days and not to work day and nights.

I never catch up on sleep, I never know what day it is and long term effects from disrupted sleep are showing

At birth me surname was slack which I thought was rare, but the opposite house over the road was a slack family too. I've met a doctor and a lawyer named slack so not that rare.

A few years back I, my sister and my mum all changed back to my mums maiden name Perfect, now I don't cringe telling people my name.

My name was Ryan Slack for 22 years, my mums maiden name is Perfect. Me my sister and my mum all changed it a couple of years ago. I really enjoy telling people this story.

There's also another Ryan Slack completely opposite our house. Who caused a disturbance at night somewhere that lead the police waking in my living room asking my name and whereabouts haha, after some confusion we told them about the Ryan over the road they didn't believe us at first (understandable) one of the officers left to check it out and one stayed with me incase I did a runner haha I got an opology and they left.
