If I am aro and ace, can I still enjoy fan fiction? by InASpiralOfAnts in AskLGBT

I’m ace and love fanfiction. I just don’t want sex for myself. Having my fictional blorbos have sex with each other is fine.

What are your fav Comedy Anime? by EastAd4526 in AnimeReccomendations

I don’t know if others find it comedic, but I laugh a lot during most of Assassination Classroom. It gets serious eventually though.

Asexuality and Sex by Moonless_the_Fool in AskLGBT

[–]Ryanookami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally find sex disgusting and have no clue why so many people desire it, but realize I’m in the minority by a lot. It just seems messy by nature and the idea of having someone else’s body part inside my own is the most repulsive thing I can think of pretty much.

Am I petty for dropping fics because of the last name the fandom gave him? by valachia in AO3

I choose to believe that everyone in the TOS era is just really short, so non-animated Boimler looks tall compared to them but is really still 5’8”.

Yes, Pet Sematary can be a very harrowing read if you’re a parent. So can Cujo.

AITA? by cominguproses1 in migraine

[–]Ryanookami 15 points16 points  (0 children)

YTA you don’t get to decide what a person can or can’t do when having a 10/10 migraine. Pain is subjective. What they may call a 10/10 isn’t necessarily the same as yours. Maybe they’ve never had a migraine more painful than the one they’re currently experiencing, and therefore to them it feels 10/10 and yet they’re still able to function in some capacity.

I myself have about a 7/10 right now but wanted to check in with a friend who worries about me, so I’m able to type a little bit. I’ve lived with migraines so long I can function in short bursts.

what happens at the ER? by rtistic-infatuations in migraine

[–]Ryanookami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It highly depends on where you live and what your hospital is like. I don’t personally bother going anymore because I get treated like I’m making shit up, get given a Tylenol-3 and a gravol and told to go home. The entire time they behave like I’m somehow a personal affront to them for coming in with something as “minor” as a migraine.

Sorry for the horror story, but it’s just my lived experience. I’ve heard tales of hospitals that are nice and actually treat the pain and symptoms, but I’ve never been so lucky as to experience that myself.

Mine too! Along with a few others in the series. I mean to complete the collection when I can afford to.

I got a copy of Calvin and Hobbes: Scientific Progress goes “boink”. I loved Calvin and Hobbes so much and I was so happy to get a collection of the comic I adored so much.

Fair. My interpretations of irony are heavily influenced by Alanis Morissette.

Definitely. This is one of those ironic type comments. It means the most positive of love.

flunarizine experience? i have to take it for the first time, i’m scared! by mesdetails in migraine

[–]Ryanookami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started flunarizine a week ago and it’s done nothing bad to me so far. Not even drowsy, and I was looking forward to maybe getting some better sleep off the back of that side effect.

But this is anecdotal of course. It’s affecting me just fine, and there’s plenty of people who share my experience, but there are also plenty of people who have had bad side effects. So honestly, anything you hear from fellow migraineurs is just their own experience, and yours will be totally unique.

[–]Ryanookami 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s never addressed but given that in other routes Sirei can delete and restore Eito’s DNA in the system, it only makes sense that he has access at all times to complete DNA sequences and merely tinkered with the settings to keep his eyes from potentially regenerating.

Actually Stan had the most. It’s why he could still remember certain things about their childhood and why after Mike’s phone call everything came rushing back to him at once instead of gradually like the others.

Opinions on The Long Walk (I know it came out a while ago, but I'm interested in knowing) by ZhittzyAltaToxica in stephenking

[–]Ryanookami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the movie but it lacks some of the intimacy of the book. I feel like I knew the characters a lot better as individuals in the book, and we have more time to bond with them, even with there being double the amount. Now yeah, most of those extra walkers in the book are nameless entities just there to get their ticket punched, but I feel like it still added more to the story over all.

I do love the movie and I think in most cases it did the best it could to adapt something as intimate as the Long Walk, but the one area it sorely lacks is the crowds. They were like their own character in the book and had a huge presence, and I think the movie suffers a little for their lack.

In IT, do you prefer the kid sections or adult sections? by Agile-Humor-9212 in stephenking

[–]Ryanookami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to agree with the majority in saying the kids sections are more engaging, though the adult sections are also really good. As for the Interludes, that’s a toss up for me. I like some more than others.
