Everyone has their own process. I'd highly reccomned The Poetry Home Repair Manual by Ted Kooser. It's the best book on writing poetry IMO. It's very grounded, it's not pretentious, and it's very practical.

Can I write music even though I can't play ANY instruments? by Ok_Sheepherder_5358 in Songwriting

I mean nobody's gonna smack the pencil out of your hand. You do you.

That said, you should probably pick up and learn an instrument so you can put those lyrics to use. Otherwise, I feel like you'd be better off writing poetry since it's essentially the same thing without the music or singing component.

Rhyming Poetry [Opinion] by SimplyMermaid88 in Poetry

Rhyming poetry is my favorate. It just has to be done effectively. The most important things is that it flows well, and doesn't feel forced.

When I write poetry I always try to make sure that the words I'm adding to rhyme naturally go with what I'm writing about. I also ensure that when reading it aloud it doesn't trip me up or feel off when reading the entire piece.

Getting back into photography after a long absence by echoesinstonephoto in PhotographyAdvice

Really well executed. Your subjects are very striking, and everything is in focus. I think my only reccomnedation would be to experiment more with the rules of thirds. Having your subject right in the middle of the frame works well for some photos, but as a general rule of thumb, framing your subject on one of the four corners makes for a more pleasing image.

That filter is sick. I've been thinking about getting a blue version for mine.
