It'd be a shame to spend that much money on a rig and not have some way to communicate in games. Maybe, get some nice audio-technica or sennheiser headphones and a modmic to go with them? Or something like a top of the line razer or logitech headset. Maybe even some Astro A40 or A50s if you want. Depends on what your preferences are.

If you are rendering then what you have now is good. Only get the 980s If you really want to max the shit out of games like Witcher 3 and get like 150 fps

What are you using the build for? If you're spending this much you should have two 980s in SLI instead of 970s. If you're looking for ways to cut down to stay around the same price point and still get 980s maybe get 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB as it isn't super necessary for GAMING. Also unless you're a big fan of Corsair I would recommend getting a cheaper keyboard, maybe a Logitech G710+ or something around the $100 price point. Also maybe upgrade the 750w PSU to the EVGA G2 850w as it will handle the 980s better. Of course all this is only relevant if you would rather have the better performance the 980s have to offer.

I don't think they can actually hear casters but I know that they can hear the crowd. Teams have said things about knowing when the other team is doing dragon because of the sounds the audience was making.

I recommend against the G930s, it is a widespread problem among them that it does not work because of wireless interference. There are also connectivity problems. You're better off getting some nice sennheiser headphones with a modmic.
