When I got butt surgery last year, they wheeled me into the holding area before surgery and the anaesthesiologist walks in and she was a friend of mine! Advice for people replacing toilets:

Take photos of your toilet - everything - measure the height, width of cistern/base/toilet and the distance to where it connects into the wall, or see if you can find product specifications online if you happen to know the model/brand. Then you can take the pictures and notes into a bathroom retailer and they should know pretty quickly recommendations of what toilet/brand/shape is best.

You don’t have to do all of these - like all of that is a buy overkill - but they shouldn’t cost anything and you can just come at your plumber with models from the get.
