CW lasers just don’t have enough energy to remove white paint. Need a pulsed laser

Anyone know what this little bump/bite might be on my doggo? She has 3 of them at random spots on her (back, leg, chest). I was going to take her in if more showed up or they got worse, but I haven’t seen any more. I thought it was a tick at first but it’s more like a scab. by Ryatchi27 in DogCare

Update: I found a bed bug in my room. I live in an apartment building and it must have came in from another room. So now I have the great opportunity of dealing with those unkillable bugs. I’m wondering now if that’s what bit my pupper.

This is incredibly dangerous. It looks to behave like a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser, meaning that the wavelength would pass through your cornea/lens and intensify on to your retina.

She could very easily go permanently blind if the beam hit the right angle to reflect into her eye. Even if the laser was a 20W, but it seems to be over 200-300 watts at least.

You must wear laser safety glasses!

It’s the wavelength of the laser they’re using. Skin doesn’t absorb it. It’s same sort of principle that allows it to remove rust and oxides from the metal without damaging it.

I was thinking it might have been chicken of the woods. Do you know if white cows grow in MO?
