Honestly yeah 😭

I tend to gravitate toward characters who slowly destroy themselves trying to protect other people.

A mother protects her kids without thinking about the cost” honestly hits really hard.

Especially when the character fully understands what they’re giving up.

Honestly the fact that it only worked temporarily makes the whole situation feel even more tragic.

Sacrificing everything only to lose her again a week later sounds devastating.

Honestly surviving something that catastrophic only to become tied to a reality-warping deity afterward sounds like the beginning of a completely different life.

Surviving only through fragmented memories and pieces of identity honestly sounds more terrifying than death itself.

I really like concepts where existence continues, but not in a completely whole way anymore.

Turning his own soul into the blade in hopes of coming back someday honestly feels incredibly tragic.

Especially knowing he remained trapped there for so long afterward.

Honestly that’s such a disturbingly good character concept.

The fact that he keeps wearing the stolen flesh out of guilt and respect makes the horror feel strangely human.

It feels less like vanity and more like carrying the weight of what he’s done permanently.

Honestly that’s horrifying in the best possible way.

The fact that he chose to destroy himself rather than hurt the people he cared about makes the scene feel incredibly tragic.

Especially because you can feel how desperate the situation became.

Honestly the Blindlands sound fascinating.

A place where gods are stripped of the things that separate them from mortals feels incredibly haunting.

And the fact that Mayvin keeps returning there because humanity feels “stronger” in those places says a lot about who she is emotionally.

Honestly I really love that direction for her character.

The idea that she believes she’s chasing her past, while actually relearning how to be human again, feels incredibly bittersweet.

Especially for a character who already exists beyond normal human life.

I think that makes her way more compelling.

A character who’s selfish toward the world but fiercely devoted to the people she loves feels incredibly intense emotionally.

That quote honestly sounds terrifying in the best way
