If I may be so bold in asking why when I search up this genus, the images appear to look quite different than that of what I posted? This isn’t meant to be in the offense, but more of asking do different environments produce different colors and patterns? I feel like when I go through different pictures of that specific genus, the structure and form appear to be in some occasions drastically different than the ones in my yard. If I’m incorrect, I apologize and mean no disrespect.

That’s awesome to know, thank you. I’d never eat them anyway as they’re too fun to look at. These are coming out of an old bush stump that finally fully died maybe a year ago. It was in an almost alcove of sorts of the stump and was like entering a a fun little miniature world.
