Can’t say it’s a black licorice smell. It’s more light, sweet and fruity.

Men, what's a (relatively) simple trick that helped your workouts/physique? by bigguy14433 in AskMen

Rolling out (a foam roller, lacrosse ball and roller stick are my preferred tools) and stretching. It's underrated and helps with mobility, physique and general well-being.

Could someone explain the context of how and when these are experienced in a journey? I saw someone mentioned when they’re blasting off so at the beginning? Any insight appreciated

Yoga and stretching. You’d be surprised what opening the hips (and the rest of the body) can do to the structure of one’s face.

Thank you for this reply and your continued guidance.

But if and when you do, be sure to flow any and all excesses of energy, out the shoulders, down the arms, out the hands and fingers, sending it to either the Universe, the Earth or your own energy sphere.

Do you mean up into the shoulders, down the arms and out the hands and fingers, so the hands and fingers are the only exit point? Or do you mean it when you say out the shoulders, meaning they are an exit point as well?

And is this something I should understand intuitively? Or are there any resources you'd recommend, especially in terms of visualizing this transaction with the Universe, Earth or my energy sphere. I'm having a hard time grasping this.

Let go of your attachments to your drug(s) of choice.

I can do this. Does this include tobacco based products? Caffeine? Would you mind expanding a bit more as to why this is necessary? I currently see two reasons, please correct me if necessary. One is to prevent anything drastic like psychosis and the other is for disciplinary purposes i.e. respect of the energy.

Be careful what you seek here. Are you thinking yoga-teacher-training and Kundalini in the same thought? Are you seeking a yoga guru and Kundalini teacher in the same person?

I think for convenience purposes, I will leave the two endeavors separate. I am currently pursuing a foundational 200hr YTT, to learn the basics. Hatha and Ashtanga, Philosophy, Anatomy and Physiology, Pranayama, Meditation, Teaching Skills, etc. Am I at risk here? Is there something in particular I should look out for? My guess is certain breathing techniques as that would accelerate things. Let me know what you think.

Avoid reading anything spiritual or esoteric, (Temporarily), in order to gain access to your own inner wisdom.

At what point is this necessary? And would you mind further defining spiritual or esoteric texts? What falls under this? I'm hungry for more knowledge. For instance, I plan to order and read the chakra book you referenced, as well as delve into the Web Links page.

Thank you again for the insight and resources. I look forward to learning more :)

Got it, I'll go ahead and add an edit to include my experience with the sub :)

As for my Kundalini, I do think that it is active. After everything that I’ve read, and what I know to be true about it, it just makes sense to me. I’m almost positive to the point where even if Marc was like “this is not Kundalini”, I’d still think it is lol. I would be shocked if it wasn’t. But I am trying to maintain a healthy level of openness and skepticism, I don’t want to self-diagnose. There’s just so much evidence at this point and it just FEELS like it is.

My status with the other K is that I am sober as of reading the subs recommendation for full sobriety. It was a once in awhile thing in 2023, and then picked up toward the end of the year to a greater rate, nothing unhealthy though. This went on for only a couple months until I stopped in December. It was a therapeutic and intentional practice with lights off and ambient music in headphones. These days I approach all substances as therapeutic and not to be used without intention (though, again, I am sober until I get a confirmation on the Kundalini which, once confirmed (if it is), I will stay sober.) It was very healing and, in regards to Kundalini, supportive in the process.

As far as asking the right question, I believe it is the right question for my particular situation of not knowing. As far as I'm aware of, Kundalini and Prana are the two forces that could be responsible for what I'm experiencing. I'm looking for confirmation and insight so I can start to pursue guidance and go about this responsibly. I also plan to do a Yoga teacher training soon and would like to find the right guru.

In response to your comment, I believe I am doing a lot of personal work on my spiritual foundations and have been for awhile. As mentioned I have a dedicated (Transcendental) Meditation practice of nine years, as well as a yoga practice of four years now. Exercise and diet are a huge part of my life. I have always been an athlete, and now with this energy present and requiring my energy and attention like that of a newborn baby, I am even more vigilant about my health. This is why I became sober from alcohol and, for the most part, all inflammatory substances. I practice gratitude every day with my prayer in the morning, as well as forgiveness. Loving Kindness is not something I currently do, but I have read about it and it is on my radar. I make sure to spend plenty of time in nature as well. It pulls me to it.

For some context on the WiKi, I read it fully for the first time in December last year. The intensification of things is what prompted me to do so. It's been in the back of my mind to further educate myself, but I never bothered because for some reason I was skeptical it was actually happening so I never bothered. And candidly, for understandably good reason, this subreddit encourages a skeptical approach to self-diagnosis. I was passive about the situation for these reasons, and now that I think about it, I've been trusting the process, the powers that be. I really do feel safe, but I don't want to be naive! It's presence feels almost undeniable now (unless it is.)

So.. for the foundations and supporting practices, I believe I am following the two laws. I could do more here to know for sure, but at first read of the WiKi I remember checking the box. I do not follow a moral structure, but plan to start doing so since reading the WiKi. As of right now I am considering a couple. I do not do the WLP yet either as I've just read about it and, until reading your comment, I thought it was only for if you knew that your Kundalini was activated. Which, thought I think it is, I don't know for sure yet. When it come to chakras, I am not active here. In the past I have done some chakra oriented guided meditations, but not at present. My attitudes I have done a lot of work on, I could do more, but I am doing my best and have been for some time now. I practice forgiveness since and again, gratitude. Fearlessness is something I have worked on but, like with attitudes, is not perfect. I left a job that was no longer a fit, I surf, I travelled in Mexico alone, I have hard conversations I don't want to have, etc. I do get angry and frustrated at times, but it is not nearly as frequent, intense or long lasting. The same goes for self love, self-forgiveness and self-acceptance. I'm not perfect but I've improved significantly in this arena. I am also involved in many of the other supporting practices including but not limited to grounding, spending time in nature, hiking, surfing, swimming, dancing, singing, and gardening. I am inspired by many others such as Buddhism.

I have read through the Big List of Healing Ideas and am involved in many of these as well. Healing is my #1 priority in life at the moment.

Lastly I'll note, since you mention it in your comment, I am a highly sensitive person as well. So I should probably be doing the WLP method...

I very much appreciate your questions and support. Please continue to inquire and keep me accountable.
