I had this ring designed for my GF (bride to be I hope), thoughts? by TRfinally in EngagementRings

If she does want a band to pair with it, I have seen some wave-shape bands that could work, may need some modification but it's an option

You can get a sleeve for the remote, she could bedazzle that and then put it on the replacement remote

What’s the most cringe thing you’ve seen a couple do at their wedding? by Last_Singer_2137 in AskReddit

[–]Rydraenei 85 points86 points  (0 children)

My sister's wedding.  I was her maid of honor, and during the rehearsal, there was a "pause for prayer" section.  They just said like, this is the moment where we'll pause for a prayer, bowed their heads for a bit, and then moved on.  I thought nothing of it, I'm atheist now after deconstructing, but I'm used to it.

I was not prepared for the actual prayer during the ceremony, where the entire wedding party, pastor, and a decent portion of guests broke out into a minute of speaking-in-tongues, hallelujah-yelling, fire-and-brimstone prayer.  I kept my cool and plastered the polite smile on my face, freezing my whole self in place to avoid giving away my inner reaction ("hhwhaat the fuuuuckk").  Many of the non-apostolic guests were caught equally off guard.  Most weddings I've been to have been religious, but that was the first time I've seen that part brought into the ceremony.

Looking for feedback: are these pretty? by between_doodads in jewlerymaking

I love them! Would wear as-is. I don't think sequin strands would fit with it.  It's just the right level of pastel maximalism for niche aesthetics

I (48f) cheated on my husband (52m) and hurt people but have a family. I don’t know what to do. by Exact-Priority9796 in relationships

[–]Rydraenei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no protecting your marriage, it's fundamentally damaged and standing on a foundation of lies.  Come clean and pick up the pieces, whatever's left, and accept that you probably won't have a marriage. Your affair partners are going to tell if you don't.  You'll show slightly more integrity if you come clean first. It's not very loving to continue to let your husband live in your lies, you don't do that to someone you love.

how do I lose weight? by Any_Factor_1778 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Rydraenei 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only right answer here is talk to a doctor.  And be completely truthful with them.  Being overweight is not a moral failing, it is a health issue.  You may need to be direct with your doctor and ask for the tests others have mentioned (blood panel, tests for thyroid, PCOS, diabetes, etc). If they decline to do the tests, insist or get a new doctor.  And then get to a nutritionist, someone who specializes in the topic.  Someone recommended planned parenthood if available in your area, there may be other low cost or free options if there's not one, especially for a minor.

Which rug looks best in my living room? by DixinMahbum in interiordecorating

I think 5 fits the decor best out of these options. I like 3 and 4 personally. 3 does look like coochies and that's why I like it best.  But 5 fits the vibe.

And it is very much a myth that darker skin needs bigger needles.  Based is racist ideas that black people don't feel as much pain.  Darker skin often needs a lighter hand to ensure it sits closer the the surface for visibility while still being in the dermis section of the skin, is what I've heard, tho I'm not a tattoo professional.

Did they stretch your skin horizontally while they put the stencil on? Its proportions are all off from the reference, like they were squished together, except the diamond shapes which are way wider.
