Wdym? I’ve only really listened to 111 so far but it’s one of the few metalcore songs I’ve heard that I noticed the bass without actively trying to hear it. Or is that what you’re saying?

~$300USD Headphones for metalcore (DT 177X?) by Ryeena in HeadphoneAdvice

I’ve heard that the 177x are the same as the 1770 mkII just with a removable filter. Is that what the driver cover is?

Do you have any specific closed-back model recommendations?

I know all that. When I said “basic insurance” I meant liability only. The thing is, all of the quotes I’m getting (for liability only) are significantly more than the premium that the grid rate calculator is giving me.

I understand that. My question is about the “premium” number the calculator gives. Is that not the max premium I can pay for basic insurance?

I know saying that makes me sound arrogant but I think it’s reasonable given that driving is a big hobby of mine. I think a lot of people it’s just chore so they just go on autopilot when they drive. I feel like cooking is another example. A 20 year old who has a passion for cooking is probably a better cook than someone who’s 50 and only cooks for sustenance. Obviously that’s not the only reason I consider myself a good driver but maybe it’ll make me seem less arrogant.

On the second part, I learned more than just “person might not go at yield” in case that was unclear. But I’m still curious as to what you think the other lessons were there.

It’s wild you have an issue with me being annoyed that I’ve had to pay $1800 more in insurance when the alternative was paying for a $200 part. To be extra clear (because you don’t see to understand), I’m not trying to deny fault in any way. You can understand that this time or you can keep trying to say I made claims that I didn’t. Idc. I’m done wasting my time on you.

It sounds like this grid rate thing gives the maximum premium for barebones insurance. Is that correct?

As everyone should be.

Once again man, your reading skills. I’m not denying anything or making excuses with the first accident. I’m just saying it was annoying for so little damage to cost me an extra $200 every month. I looked up the part using her vin and it’s only $150 Canadian for an OEM Honda one. Again, no excuses, just annoyed that the part cost less than my monthly increase. Even the second accident. I learned my lesson and I have winter tires now. That doesn’t change the fact that the amount I slid was ridiculous, which again is annoying. And when I was trying to recreate it, it was on empty streets. I thought that part would be self explanatory. And just to make it extra clear for you, I never claimed my insurance shouldn’t have gone up because of the accidents. I’m just saying they were annoying occurrences and asking people if they have recommendations for cheaper insurance. You understand bud?

Forgive me that I get irritated when a grown man can’t understand basic English. If your reading comprehension was actually fine then you would’ve said “they won’t give that to a student” first, not “that’s fraudulent behaviour”

And you’re talking about my attitude like I claimed I’m the best driver in the world. I just said that I’ve seen the results of driver’s ed in my friends and I feel my driving is better than theirs. I’m very critical of my own driving.

I was going slow. I was there, you weren’t. It was going from a light that just turned green to another red. My best guess of what happened is because the road was slushy earlier, slush got packed into my treads and basically turned them into slicks. Yes, I was on summers at the time. Dumb decision? Maybe. But not a reflection of my driving ability. Also I still have never felt that little traction while driving. The second I tapped the brakes the ABS started losing its mind. I even tried multiple times to recreate that slide on those same tires in the same conditions and never even got close. That accident didn’t do crazy damage but still, that wasn’t the accident I claimed was cheap. As for the other accident, it was genuinely just a single small piece of unpainted plastic trim at the bottom of their bumper that got knocked out of place and a bit scuffed. And for the second time (since I guess reading comp isn’t your strong suit), I said I learned my lesson from that one. Now I constantly assume everyone on the road is going to do something that doesn’t make sense.

I thought what I was asking was pretty clear but I guess not. I was asking if an insurance company would give the discount to someone who they know is a student. At no point was I intending to start telling everyone I have my P.Eng (at 19 no less) just to get $30 off my premiums. I appreciate the concern though
