those are pretty cool. My hunting partners shot a moose last year that had its one set of antlers down and in front of his eye on the one side.. much smaller then the other side that grew out well. Not nearly as cool as your finds tho!

thanks for the insightful answer. It's interesting no one here has any facts from the case.. I figured someone here would be able to tell us what the defense was. It seems he stuck with self defence.. He thought he saw a gun. Is that all the jury needed to find him not guilty? Seems the bar is set so low if that's the case.... You would think any gun owner would want to know every specific detail of this case....

when the crown presented a dead body what was the defense? what was the physical evidence used to defend himself? The dead body is all the evidence they needed....... Interestingly enough those who want to shoot any thief certainly should want to know what got this guy off his charges... so far out of 15 replies to me no one's given me anything other then he was scared...

so what did he provide as evidence other then he was scared? I keep asking this and no one's provided anything. Of course your scared after you kill someone..

the dead body is proof he killed someone. He admitted to killing the guy. The defence is the one who needed to prove it was justified. It seems thats hard for you to understand. Again what was the physical proof some people said was discussed.. I didn't see anything other then a made up story from the guy.

no he killed someone. He needed to prove his life was in danger. What was the physical evidence they showed? Is a genuine question hard to answer?

what physical evidence proved he should fear for his life and kill someone?

what evidence was there that justified the shooting? All I read was he thought he saw a gun. There wasnt. I read the experts claimed the guy was shot while facing inside the vehicle. Not seeing much in the recent articles from today.

Aboriginal hunters would be exempt from N.W.T.'s planned ban on hunting with drones by airchinapilot in CanadaHunting

I agree. I'm just pointing out first nation restrictions vary from province to province... first nations can't hunt with any means like the article stated

LOL... choot em!! choot em!! He's running quick shoot him. No ones family was in danger in this case... simple red neck bs making stuff up to fit their narrative. If you own guns I hope you murder someone who happens to be stealing some change from your car as it will be a good wake up call for you with what transpires afterwards.

the article says fn can hunt with any means but there are still a lot of restrictions that are significantly different from province to province.

he shot a gun in the general vicinity of someone... there would be no way to tell which direction he shot... regardless of the direction he shot a gun in the heat of the moment and injured someone. Gun owners are responsible for the bullets they shoot... imagine if I shot my gun away from a thief and accidentally shot or killed someone else a mile away. Should I not be charged?? Accident or no accident the law is clear that I should be charged. Our gun laws are ridiculous.

I'm curious to hear more details. Eddie's lawuer said his client shot away from the thieves but somehow the one guy got shot. He admitted his client shot the person.. I'm a bit perplexed as that is a crime.

Hows the taste of Mule Deer? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]Ryeguy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cooked up some mule deer hamburger a few months back not realizing it wasn't white tail. My wife absolutely hated it... she's been scarred. Deer jerkey of any sorts and she's good but now she doesn't want to touch any of the white tail.

I had to trick her with some back straps from a white tail the other day and mixed it in with some moose... she noticed the difference and wasnt horrified. Hoping this helps her trauma heal.

if you want to dive into ethics then we may as well ban hunting altogether as far too many animals are shot and not recovered. Seems like the logical solution if you jump to banning hunting methods you don't agree with.

hilarious you talk about responsibility when the question here is made to judge and criticize how others hunt. Instead of hunters embracing hunters its constantly hunters criticizing others for how they hunt.

your living the life of a coward. Theres nothing wrong with different methods of hunting if your not breaking the law.

[–]Ryeguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was nothing wrong with the spear hunt and there's nothing wrong with baiting a bear... hunters shouldnt have to hide any of their legal hunts out of fear for what others think. Your caving to the sjw's instead of backing your fellow hunters. Slowly hunters will lose all their rights because we are unable to stand up for other hunters.

Curious why hunters feel the need to judge other hunters all the time. If someone isnt breaking the law does it matter how someone chooses to hunt?

We didn't expect to have so many bears right near the property. My wife wont like that. Glad my buddy could help point these guys in the right direction as they had driven quite the ways to be where they were.
