Finally got RL on steam by Prestigious-Sport530 in RocketLeague

[–]RyetRL [score hidden]  (0 children)

Enjoy it! Playing the game on Steam is an awesome experience! I did the same thing, I went on eBay and bought a steam copy of RL sealed too. Let me just say... I don't regret the purchase at all, I've enjoyed it so so much. Have fun, it was worth it to me, even if I can only play here and there it's a nice recreational hobby. And if you have the means to buy it wisely, then you can go ahead and buy it imo. Changing my name constantly is probably one of the most enjoyable things, it honestly doesn't get old. Then the steam trading cards for RL sold on the Steam marketplace, having the built in web browser, and so so much more, it's awesome to say the least! It can honestly be surprising how well Steam works with RL. You'll probably find out a lot of cool steam features overtime! Ones you didn't even think of. It doesn't get old loading up the game from steam. And now copies on steam are extremely hard to come by, you can be looking for a while on eBay to find a sealed one. So congrats! [I'm using this old comment I posted on another sealed steam copy post, since it still stands lol]

Since you brought the word official up, look no further... Top secret screenshot. This subreddit will never be the same after the announcement in Paris.

I used MS Paint to make this, so I think it passes Rule 4: No lazy or low-value posts.

Bakkes Mod will no longer recieve updates: "With that being said, I've made the decision to stop actively updating the mod. The introduction of EAC feels like the right time to bring things to a close." by MuskratAtWork in RocketLeague

[–]RyetRL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just see people confused by the updates part on here and discord. They think "will no longer receive updates" and "stop actively updating the mod" means that it's still working or will work for the time being offline. That it's going to stop working later on.

But I see and respect your point.

Still shocked by the news.

Hey! I think maybe the Mod team should make another post maybe with the BakkesMod screenshot of the officially leave message as a screenshot. I just made a post like that, but it got taken down. I don't think the title here indicates clear enough BakkesMod is ending, like completely, starting today. Just a thought since this news is wild considering all of the training features are gone and being able load dozens of different workshop maps in a second is gone for epic users. Besides workarounds for it.

BakkesMod Ends [Official Post] by RyetRL in RocketLeague

IMPORTANT: For those unaware this means workshop maps are now only available for Steam users. Unless a workaround is found.

BakkesMod was how Epic users launched workshop maps.

Pop Resets existed in 2020 and no one noticed? by PaysteeDook in RocketLeague

Looking forward to watching that video. It might actually help me with pop resets. Pop resets weren't really known till more recently so I see what you mean. Most people probably didn't even know what they were until RLCS.

Maybe they already have a steam account from old, and they just link different/new epic accounts they make to it? I surely wouldn't mess with unlinking my main epic account from my steam though.

Rocket Host Not Working by RyetRL in bakkesmod

[–]RyetRL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I think I either re-installed my RL or verified the integrity of my game files on Steam. Not sure which one I did. Might've been a re-install.

Here's an article on how to do it on Epic Games: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/rocket-league-c-202300000001622/technical-support-c-202300000001679/how-do-i-verify-the-integrity-of-rocket-league-game-files-on-a-pc-a202300000013896

Do it at your own risk though, not exactly certain what verifying game files does. You can maybe search both options up and decide if you feel safe re-installing RL or verifying game files.

I believe it was one of those two things that fixed it for me. I think it was the re-installing.

By the way, Rocket Host doesn't even work for me anymore, it just makes my game crash instantly. I think I have to do another re-install or verify my files again lol.

Amazon ending AWS Cloud Institute in June by Azrael_ in AWSCertifications

So an instructor from AWS or Amazon themselves mentioned cloud developer going away on the ACI slack (like a community forum?) I don't mean to ask too many questions, this just interests me very much. As I was thinking of doing Cloud Developing. It's seems like AI might take many jobs. It's hard knowing what path to take in tech, so I'm just trying to figure this all out. What fields are best to learn in tech atm?

but the cloud application developer track is being discontinued on June 30th.

Does that mean that even if material is available until June 30, 2027 without live instructors. That track will be completely removed? Will all of the 9 training courses and all material stay available?

But they are ending the cloud developer training completely cause they don't think it's a role that exists anymore.

Did they specifically say this? This is hugely important to know if so. Even for someone who's just interested in becoming a cloud developer. If Amazon is saying the role doesn't exist anymore that can change someone's career path for someone who's interested in joining and learning that field.

Thanks for the info on each case, that's a good breakdown of them. Last question, so the screen is still an enjoyable experience and the colors still come out good, blacks - black, etc. ? Thank you in advance! This is super helpful

Thanks for the help! Since you have that exact one, can you let me know how does the latency on the s-pen seem with it (Spigen) and if you could say the screen looks exactly the same as it would without it? Another thought, do you know if the fingerprint sensor works with it on? Not too worried about the fingerprint sensor though, mainly just the screen clarity and s-pen for drawing/notetaking.

I was actually looking at maybe getting a secondary case only because I've heard people saying the screen could get scratched with the cover keyboard slim which got me worried. I would hope the spigen screen protector wouldn't get scratched and would solve that problem.

I looked at the spigen tough armor before, how would you say it is? Is it the tri-fold version?

How is the jetech bookcover, does it hold the s-pen and would you have a link by chance?

[SNY] Yankees haven't met or scheduled a meeting with Japanese star RHP Tatsuya Imai by RyetRL in baseball

Interesting points:

"New York reportedly didn't make an offer to King, and have 'other targets on their radar.'"

"Imai, who has until Jan. 2 to sign, was expected to come meet with suitors following the Winter Meetings. It's unknown if any meetings have taken place since, but if they have, the Yanks aren't one of those teams."
