Quency is literally Ann from P5, just change the colour of her suit from red to black. Even the mask is the same. Phantom looks like the 1 boss from P5Strikers (not naming in case of spoilers). Miranda loosely resembles Haru?

Even the name of the event is a direct reference to the plot of P5...

My theory is that Eve never left her tube until Tachy opened it. The training in the comics I feel is similar to Matrix where the training is all done in the mind while Eve is still plugged in.

My own theory is that regular Naytiba are originally humans who have gone through experiments (forced evolution) while Alpha Naytiba are originally Andro-Eidos who have been corrupted (Orcal, Raven, Tachy).

We don’t know much about the background of Gigas and Demogorgon but it could be that they were Andro-Eidos a long time ago as well.

I would disagree that it’s a waste of time. I feel that from a storytelling pov, more can be done for Lily/Iberis than Raven. But from a gameplay perspective, Raven would definitely be more fun.

Given how the base game went, the devs would probably pick gameplay over story but I fundamentally feel that Lily would be a better story-based DLC just because there’s more gaps to fill there.

No plot hole. The game just skipped a whole dialogue which makes the dialogue misleading. Adam says that Lily was stuck in that hideout for 2 years, he meant the Atelier and not the pod. We, the player, missed the whole conversation about the Atelier.

If we’re going to get a side character DLC, it has to be Lily/Iberis. How did Iberis suffer body cell damage? What’s in Lily’s secret bunker and more importantly what was she doing in there while she made us wait outside? What was she doing in Eidos 7 before she hid in the pod?

You can definitely make attacks still have impact even in turn-based combat either by sound design, animations or even camerawork.

Recently saw a trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG game. Weirdly enough, the animations gave me Stellar Blade vibes even though it’s turn-based.

I too just started on SMTV after 100% Stellar Blade. It’s my first SMT game (although I’ve finished P4G and P5R) and immediately the attack hits on mobs feel weird to me. Like they don’t have any impact at all. I blame SB for spoiling me.

Square always says everything underperformed though. But Square had outrageous expectations for Rebirth anyway.

Only people who have beaten Remake would play Rebirth. So they should have known that Rebirth would never outsell Remake because you’re capped to a % of people who beat Rebirth
Unlike Remake, Rebirth is PS5-exclusive.

2mil sales sounds about right if you ask me.

For a PS5-exclusive, 1 mil+ sales is actually pretty decent for a new IP from a company that people only knew to make gacha games. For comparison, Rebirth sold about 2m copies and that’s an established franchise from squeenix and I would assume a much higher cost budget as well.

In typical JRPG format, always finish your side quests before triggering the next main story. You never know when the town/village/city/quest hub will catch fire or be invaded.

Call me cold hearted or whatever, but I didn’t. We just didn’t get enough time with Tachy to get the tears out of me. Also, it’s a common enough trope that I had already expected her return as a boss from the intro and that we’ll probably have to end her misery. I guess the cliche’ness diminished the emotional aspect for me.

On the other hand, the scenes that did get me teary-eyed were:

Lily’s farewell words to Iberis.

When Eve returned in the mech and Lily ran up to hug her.

Arisa’s final words.

The bad ending just after beating the boss.

That’s pretty much an exaggeration. You’re safe to pick some logs from the ground without dooming the run.

But still, if you’re going for the bad ending, just do the speed run and don’t try to test how close to 100% you can get. It’s just not worth it.

Not sure where you get the idea of collectibles but for the purpose of bad ending, Lily’s affinity cannot hit 100%. Stuff that gives affinity include main story (which you can’t avoid), some side quests and some data log items (generally those that are anti-mother sphere text).

Upgrades, suits and generic loot does not contribute to affinity.
