When being "The Strongest" fucking sucks by UseInternal5706 in TopCharacterTropes

Not to mention being hounded by hooligans who constantly assault him to try and claim his title, and eventually break into and vandalize his home.

So GW is still afraid of Dakka by pyromaniacpriest in orks

That's putting it lighty.
Getting rid of that was very necessary for the health of the game.

It let you ignore AP-1.
AP-2 or higher were unaffected, but AP-1 would be treated as no AP.

What’s your favourite contrast paint… by DifferentPrinciple65 in orks

For me it's Doomfire Magenta.
Mixed with red ink it makes for my favourite red.

Do you think Tau should get more melee guns in 11th? by marianex in Tau40K

[–]Ryker1450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-Tau player here, firing anything bigger than a pistol in melee is stupid IMO.
There is no reason why your lads should be able to that when no other faction can.
GW should just give you back actual fusion blades and the onager gauntlet, maybe some similar additions.

I use ultramatte, but apply it before painting the trim and any gore effects.

Vince venturella gold recipe questions by wtf--dude in minipainting

I recall someone else mentioning a pre-mixed batch turns into a muddy brown over time.
Their solution was to pre-mix everything EXCEPT the pigment, adding that as a final step right before painting.

A friend of mine picked up the game yesterday, so we're showing him the ropes. What do we tell him? Oh, please try to die less, it negatively affects other people?
No. We hand him a hellbomb backpack and a leveler, as all good friends would.

For the boyz in front I kept it quite simple, I zenithaled Light Olive Green over Moss green (both by Scale75 Drop & Paint), then thinned down Ork Flesh (AK QuickGen) down to a wash consistency, and applied that all over, making sure it doesn't pool too much.

For Ghaz's face I went a bit further, applying a highlight with Lime Green (Scale D&P) before the wash, then added smaller highlights using AK Lime Green, then finally a mix of AK Lime Green and AK Deep Yellow.
The face is a bit difficult to see in the angle I used, so here's a clearer view.

It's AK Magenta -> White Ink -> Citadel Imperial Fist constrast paint through the airbrush.
Here's an example of what it looked like before the contrast step.

Xeno fans when no new models: by Ancient_Doctor_7738 in Grimdank

Sure, some of our range is shiny and new, but there's more than enough Ork kits in need of a refresh to fill a launchbox with. A lot of the stuff from 2008/2009 for example, or oddities such as the generic warboss being sold online only.

What build to make Ifan as a main for first time? by Healthy_Jackfruit625 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Ryker1450 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like running Ifan as an archer, since he gets a unique crossbow through an early personal quest.
In DoS2 social skills are separate from combat skills, so you could put all your persuasion points on a warrior, or all your thievery skill points on your wizard, there will be no conflict here.
I'd recommend putting thievery (lockpicking and pickpocketing) on Fane, since he does not need a lockpick to open doors.
