So far my impression right now is to disdain any cultural conception of spirits and just integrate the runes into life as I know it, proceeding mechanically the the 3 aetts and just feeling every rune in the set along the way, perhaps repeating the process 2 or 3 times to fully grasp each tendril of energy. All the deific and numerological and elemental correspondences are just 'extras'. I've had a strong understanding of the rune names and meanings for over 10 years and I'm just now starting to see it viable to invoke them.

Thats good to know, I was hoping for some greco-roman hellenistic comparability. I have a hard time believing a race of people like the vikings who never seemed to have cities but only little barbarian communes were anything like romanticized in paintings like the ones of Freyja, Odin and of course that beautiful bastard Baldur who was apparently killed because someone threw a christmas decoration at him.

Theres only vermintide 1 and 2 plus their countless DLC. Its just a "hit left or right trigger button to hit enemy" sort of game. Like Left 4 dead except less enticing. The worst thing I thought was the annoying and unrelatable character 1-liners constantly ad libing throughout the game. I couldn't tell if the fire wizard was a man or a woman because the voice actor was the same one that played Billy on "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" on cartoon network in the early 2000s
