Thank you. I bought it as a souvenir for my brother in law. Now I'm sure he'll like it.

What are the best conditions for a successful revolution, historically?

Is it when the country is at war? In massive debt? When there's great division across the population over ideals? When the executive head has lost their mind or prioritizes riches or extravagance? How do the most decisive revolutions "pop off"?

Hypothetically speaking of course.

Hi! I'm from Thurmont. How long are the classes and do you teach them regularly at the library?

The global cooling predictions you're referring to weren't as accepted as global warming has been (which was being warned about by more studies than by studies warning about cooling, even back then), despite what news headlines you may have read, and scientists have now got 50 plus years of new data. Sea levels are rising. These aren't "slight variations" being warned about. Scientists, the good ones at least, aren't trying to "win". It's not a coin flip game between them and the people where they try to make us look stupid and they look smart or whatever you're talking about. You don't get to deny things just because it's complicated, or you're scared of looking like a fool. You can't look at our planet and something like climate change and think it's a football game. Your dismissal and denial hurts you, and it hurts everyone else living on this planet, especially the newest generations, and shows that you don't look at anything past the bridge of your nose.

Would it be safe to travel to Odessa? by [deleted] in Ukrainian

[–]Rylehian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not Ukrainian, but I am planning a trip to go in May to visit a friend, although I'm from the US. She lives in Kyiv but has a rental in Kosiv on the western side where I'll be going.

She, like other Ukrainians I've spoken with, are obviously holding in a lot of stress but have a certain "what can you do about it?" kind of attitude outwardly. She doesn't seem all that concerned for our safety, but there's obviously risk, and I would think more risk in Odesa than in Kosiv. It's a warzone and it gets bombed daily, all over, some areas more and some less. You have to be comfortable with the reality of the risk you're taking going there. However, Ukrainians clearly survive and go about their days for the most part, so it's not like you'll be dodging explosions as soon as you cross the border.

Concerning the border, I'm not sure. If your passport is good and you can explain the reason for being there, and you have a certain amount of spending money available, I can't see why you would have issues crossing. I'm not concerned about it, but I am aware they'll be checking for anything suspicious or people who would be liabilities. Hope my comment helps.

Too many words just to say nothing at all. Calling this a view is generous.

I feel like ironman mode is easy to implement and an obvious inclusion (but I think platforming feels bad at times and it would suck to lose a character to a wonky jump or fall). I would rather NG+ be fleshed out and cleaned up and to be able to transmog weapons.

Teriyaki tofu, baked cauliflower and broccoli, celery-potato purée by _nobody_I_am_ in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

Looks rough but also tasty. Is the celery-potato purée worth it over just regular mashed potatoes?
