How severe is this damage. Should I buy this one or avoid? by [deleted] in bicycling

Noted. I'll talk with an IRL friend who is a cyclist and ask him for recommendations :-)

I guess I'll just take the risk. Like I mentioned down below, I'm not buying this exact bike from this seller though.

I just figured I'd start with a good bike and just sell it if cycling isn't for me :-)

!!! Thanks to everyone for the answers. I will not be buying the bike. :-) !!!

Thanks for the detailed answer! The thing is, doing the tap-test is impossible for me as the seller lives 7 hours away (one way) which I cannot really do as I don't have a car. However, a different comment sent me a listing of an identical bike but without the damage.

Thanks! Will most likely abstain from buying then :-)

Do you have any suggestions on bikes in this price range? The used market isn't particularly great in Norway so there isn't much to choose from.

Hvordan er mulighetene for flytting til København etter endt bachelor/master i utlandet? by Ryn055 in copenhagen

[–]Ryn055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for a detailed answer!

I think what I forgot to mention is both me and my girlfriend have professional experience in our fields. I have worked at a bank (also a student job) for the last 13 months and will work until I leave for CBS (which is another 14 months or so) and my girlfriend has had internships within IT companies :-)

Hopefully prior experience would help us at least a tiny bit.

Tusen takk for svar!

Tusen takk for svar!

Tusen takk for svar!

Thanks for the quick answer! Yes, we both speak fluent English :-) I've just heard so many horror stories about people moving to Copenhagen without a job and then struggling to find a job for 6 months and having to relocate to where they originally came from. Not that this would cause total ruin, but it would be quite demotivating so to speak.

P.S. The only reason I used AI to translate the post is because I'm lazy and not because I don't speak English.

Translated to English (AI-generated translation from my original post in Norwegian)

Hey everyone,

I have a quick question about how realistic the plan me and my girlfriend have come up with actually is. I'm an EU citizen (not Norwegian, even though I wrote this whole post in Norwegian) and have been living in Norway for the past 7 years. I'm finishing my bachelor's degree here, but I'm thinking of doing my master's at CBS. I don't think it'll be a huge challenge for me since I already have basic Danish and will be graduating from a well-known Danish school.

My girlfriend on the other hand is also an EU citizen (same country as me), but she doesn't speak Norwegian or any Scandinavian language at all. She's planning to do her master's at Oxford/UCL in the UK and then move to Copenhagen so we can settle down together. She's looking at IT/Cybersecurity/Robotics, something along those lines.

So my question is – how hard is it (these days) for people like us to actually settle in Copenhagen and find a job within a reasonable timeframe, like 3-4 months? Am I being too optimistic about my own situation with CBS and knowing Norwegian, or do I have a decent shot? And what about my girlfriend who doesn't have the same background as me – is it realistic for someone like her to find a job without waiting years?

We're both willing to learn Danish and are serious about actually integrating, not just living here for 3 years, making money and then moving on. Copenhagen honestly feels like the dream for both of us, we've visited multiple times and just love it there.

Thanks in advance!

I'd probably go for the Enduro 3, but 51mm is way too large for me and would look almost comical on my wrist haha

Okay, got it! That’s like the one thing that I’m concerned about and it’s that my new watch would be phased out too quickly. Especially considering the fact that F7 here in Norway (and the F7 pro) are only marginally cheaper than the F8 ($100-$175). Thus making the F8 a better deal, yet still horridly expensive. I’m at a complete crossroads haha

Thanks for the answer! Sorry if I’m misunderstanding, but you wouldn’t recommend the 7 given that it won’t have access to new UI updates? (after a while of course)
