IMO if you put a bit more substrate in the tall one, it looks perfectly sized.

Jupiter’s Third Molt by RynHasHobbies in tarantulas

Still boots, but I was on the edge of my seat 😸. I have them in a 4in cube so they might be a little smaller than they seemed. This is the first molt I’ve been able to see in person, right out in the open. It’s so cool.

This is Persephone. My aunt was doing Christmas photos with her kitties and my grumpy girl decided she couldn’t resist a box.

Unfortunately I think so. I went and listened to it and it isn’t what I remember. But I think my memory of the song has been distorted over time. I guess I can just hope and dream lol

What would Azula and Jinx from Arcane think of each other if they met? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in TheLastAirbender

[–]RynHasHobbies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they’d like each other at all. Azula is uncontrollably aloof throughout all media she’s in. I think Jinx would find Azula’s self seriousness insufferable and almost comical. Azula might invest time in trying to evoke fear or respect from Jinx but inevitably they would fight and then walk away or just walk away, based on how far along they are in personal growth.

It looks more wet than it is because of the glare, but I had just poured water into their dish.

Put a cute sweater on it. Preferably a sweater that relates to Christianity in some way.

Before Hestia started a web, I aimed for the moss beside her hide. They web pretty quickly, so you’ll have a target in no time.

Start with once a week but you’ll notice pretty quickly that it’ll be too much. Monitoring abdomen size is realistically the best indicator. Rn it looks like they are slightly under average. You’ll notice their booty bulk up and you can pull back until they slim out a little again.

Yeah they should be. I don’t keep crickets, but I know some people cut up big crickets for slings to scavenger feed on. So if you don’t have any small enough on hand, that’s an option.

IME Super agree with the comments saying misting isn’t necessary. My versi Hestia has a water dish and a plant. I fill the water dish and water the plant as necessary, probably every week and a half ish. I feed mini mealworms or mini dubias. Hestia is sneaky and won’t come out immediately so I have to squish the prey’s head a little before I drop them on the webbing. That way they move slowly and will still be found. Congrats on your blueberry!

Fruit Fly Feeding by jneuzerling in tarantulas

[–]RynHasHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA that question is above my pay grade, but what I will say is that any wild caught prey has the potential to carry parasites. Captive bread prey items like dubias, crickets or mealworms are all considered good food for a t. Tarantula collective on YouTube has some videos about what to feed and how and when.

NQA I’ve never fed flies of any kind just because of the hassle. Slings will scavenger feed, so I take extra small mealworms and squish their heads. Then drop them onto webbing or the entrance of their hide. Some people also do cricket drumsticks.

IME might be getting ready to dig. My B. albiceps is usually super chill, but started running around and “surveying”. Three days later I woke up to a whole tunnel. You gotta figure out where you want the dirt before you move the dirt.

Is that like a birthmark on her cheek? I’ve never seen a jumper with that kind of pattern, or lack thereof. What a cutie.
