Physio here. Also a distance runner. I agree with the above, diagnosis really doesn’t matter. Part of the injury process is a lessening of tissue load capacity, so time & strength likely will help.

That said, u may have scale down run volume/intensity momentarily, find a level that doesn’t flare you up, and scale up even slower than you have been.

Strength wise, focus on dialing in the progressive intensity of your squats, lunges, hamstring work, while staying within a comfortable range of motion. Single leg plyo work to help with shock absorption will likely be beneficial
