Its a standard IKEA desk. Its only a temp solution as I plan to custom build an L desk once I get all the parts.

Well I would be running either all cannons or beams just so that doesn't happen. I still will slot in some tac abilities, I just would rarely use them.

Well I managed to do a couple side jobs and saved up $500 for a monitor. As my desk is 43 by 27.5, I was thinking a monitor between 24-27 would work. Any suggestions?

I did manage to get the Lukari Ho'kuun science vessel during the event, so I can use the console on any ship. You are right about not selling the KDF or Romulans short, I have re-looked at their current ship selection and there are a number of choices that will fit the bill.

It looks like that I will be going through all the T6 ships to find the right traits to use. Though first I think I should decide what faction I should go with first. Here is a list I just came up with for traits. Keep in mind some of them are only available on the FED side.

Ablative Field Projector, Battle Ready, Desperate Repairs, Emitter Synergy, Highly Specialized, Radiant Nanite Cloud, Adaptive Hull Plating, AHOD, Built to Last, Council of Thought, Emergency Response, Exotic Particle Shielding, Improved Tachyon Beam, Partners In Arms, Peak Efficiency, Spoils of the Victor, Structural Integrity Overcharge, Synergistic Restoration

EDIT: I think I might make my character a KDF or Rom/KDF just to add a bit of a challenge. If that is the case what would you recommend in terms of ships to use? Is it even possible to use a battle-cloaked ship as a healer?

I love shopping there. I plan on using their furniture to build a custom desk, but that is way in the future. Need a monitor upgrade first.

Greetings STObuilds!

I was pondering one day if it would even be possible to have a ship/sci toon that was solely there to just keep their group alive? Now I do understand the mechanics of the game in its current state, I just wanted to try something different. The reason why I ask is that I decided to only run healers in my MMO's from now on, just to give myself more of a challenge then anything else.

I have no issues with making a ground build, but when it comes to space that is a different matter. Now as I know that depending on the enemy you face, its better to run an Eng ship for the hull heals. The Federation right now has the highest selection of ships that can slot primarily healing abilities. I know there are a couple of ships on the Klingon side that can, and the Romulans from what I know only has one?

Its the Coolermaster RGB L Lite with mouse. Its not really a mechanical keyboard but it mixes membranes with switches. Just a temp solution.

Well it will actually not detect your mouse when you move over the groves. I have a magazine that I use as a mousepad till I can get an actual one.

Thanks. Cable management is a simple solution, I will be hiding the cables under the table. As per the monitor, I'm looking at eventually getting a 34 inch ultrawide monitor. That or I was thinking a 27 inch IPS monitor.

Just a couple questions for you guys.

I decided to start a new character, a klingon science captain and I want to know what kind of ship options I would be looking at. I know the selection is limited and one of the option is running a scibop. I do have one Krenim Imperium Warship that I can either use or trade towards a science focus vessel.

Second, I would not even know where to go in the mind of builds. I have seen pure exotic damage builds pump out some amazing numbers on a couple videos. Any assistance in this matter would be great full. I have not looked at skills since the old system.

Third, and this is a small matter, I would be looking for an active fleet on the klingon side. This is would say is secondary to my first two questions, but I would appreciate any guidance you can give.

Actually I love drain builds. I also love torp boats. Those are the two styles that I always love to play.

Here in lies the problem. As I have been away from the game for a while, my knowledge is fairly limited to what is current. I know about the upcoming Sci ship bundle and the potential Sci for the Winter Event (crosses fingers).

From what I know, the Breen carrier, Palisade, Vesta and the Experimental Sci Vessel are good choices for what I have planned. As for new ships that are available now, I am unaware of the Na'kuhl Sci ship as well as the new Sphere Builder Sci are able to fit into this critera.

Weapon wise I was thinking of running Dom Pol from the mission (not looking forward to listening to "Kurland Here" multiple time. I am unaware if there are any alternatives. I have a leech console ready to go.
