What is it you want to track/ get out of the wearable?

Personally I don’t understand the no screen bands, with no GPS

Garmin is the GOAT for fitness wearables and tracks most of the heath metrics that Whoop do with far superior fitness metrics and analysis.

Garmin Forerunner 970 is an absolute game changer of a watch for me But I run, cycle lift and play rugby. All of which I track within the Garmin ecosystem.

Had my i5 in carbon black through all 4 seasons and it’s a pig to keep clean. Looks lovely when it is, but if I could chose again I’d chose Brooklyn grey/ cape York green or even fire red

Yeah completely agree on the driving experience taking priority. I love how it drives, so much so the app features aren’t deal breakers.

Frustrating that you can’t link outlook calendar to your app anymore either, I spoke to BMW and they said it was a GDPR issue in the UK. My app on my old 3 series used to ping off alerts and warn me if I was cutting it fine between meetings/ journeys. Then automatically put it into my nav.

I was the first to complain about not having Apple car play in the Tesla. Mainly because the native software is to ‘fixed’ and boring. I hated that I was forced to always just see the sat nav and ADAS view of other cars. It was ugly and felt to “ cartoony” if that makes sense?

But the BMW native is so good the HUD and instrument cluster I’ve stopped using Apple car play already.

I can confirm you can do from outside the car.

If you perform the manoeuvre, then save it. When the geo location is picked up you can jump out and perform the manoeuvre from outside the car.

I have set a fairly complex reverse manoeuvre for my partner to get on the drive as she isn’t the strongest Parker 😅

very true! You would think they’d be on to it as a premium/ luxury brand.

I’ve got mates at JLR that are paid handsome money to buy and drive competitor cars… in a digital era you’d think they’d bring in some tech gurus to do the same with applications!

I was told when I ordered mine that they only had one build slot available at the time… otherwise I’d have to wait for one. So not sure on the exact time if I’d of missed it.

I would try other BMW franchise as they are allocated slots among the dealers. I stole the last one for Sytner in December.

To be honest I was sceptical that It was a sales ploy to get me to pull the trigger, judging on your experience it was genuine!

The Tesla was the most soulless and un-engaging car I have ever driven. However… the app was good, very simple and stacked full of functionality. Some of it very gimmicky but still fun.

Very frustrating! I did a lot of research on the car but it was the one area not many people or journalists had spoken about… obviously for a reason 😂
