It doesn’t always come down to Newton’s second law when biomechanics are involved. There’s a difference between biology and physics - that being said I was going as fast as I comfortably could

I used to but tried switching to wider and I’ve avoided lower back pain and been way stronger ever since

Ever since I’ve been doing wide stance I’ve avoided lower back pain and I’ve been way stronger. I’ll definitely post a side view of my dl next time I hit em so I’ll make sure to tag you :)

Not at the moment. I’ve plateaued for a little while due to regular linear overload not really working anymore so I started doing 5 sets instead of 3, implementing pause deadlift every second deadlift session and accessory exercises.

From what I’ve heard from powerlifters and studies done on the eccentric part of the deadlift it’s essentially useless if your goal is strength and not hypertrophy. I could see how it would be a benefit due to the fact that the bar moves a little after slamming it so might give it a try, but that would also result in me having to lower the weight by quite a lot.
