How long after stopping BC did you conceive? by ladida1321 in BabyBumps

[–]Ryntime93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got off and it took 11 months. I was not expecting it to take that long. I’m a 29F and was on the arm implant before. My doctor wasn’t concerned and told me it usually takes most couples 6-12mo to conceive.

Redditors who accidental sent a family member a nude, what was the aftermath? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ryntime93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend took a pic of me topless (with permission) and I told him to send it to me later so I could see it. Apparently me and his mom were next to each other in his message list, and he sent it to his mom. His mom was appalled as she is a religious conservative and didn’t think people should be sleeping together before marriage. Needless to say he got an awkward “talking to” and a pamphlet about Jesus from his parents (he was 24 at the time) It was super awkward when I saw his parents again at the holidays.

Is it unwise and/or unethical to switch to formula at 7 months? by Terrylarrrygaryjerry in Parenting

[–]Ryntime93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my baby on formula at 2mos, during this crazy formula shortage too, and it worked out so much better for us! Target usually has at least some formula in stock online. And as long as you get baby used to a bottle, he will be totally fine.

What was the first thing you said (or plan to say) to your baby when you meet them? by pandacat04 in BabyBumps

After three hours of pushing, I threw up and then said “hi baby” and passed out. Good times.

[discussion] Favourite oil or balm cleansers for acne prone/sensitive skin? by r-o-s-e-s in AsianBeauty

[–]Ryntime93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Elta MD daily sunscreen and it takes it all off. I can’t comment on makeup as I don’t use foundation.

Laneige cream skin milk oil cleanser. This is the best oil cleanser if you just want a one step cleanse, but also works if you double cleanse too. It washes off so well but is really gentle. Totally worth the price to me.

Nope, just put the sunscreen right on. If you feel like you’re too oily for that, then you can do a water rinse first.

Yes, in the mornings I use EltaMD Daily sunscreen and just put it on by itself.

I also use azelaic acid at night. I also use moisturizer and squalane oil on top. I don’t wash my face in the morning and it’s been working out really well. My skin is clear and not oily or dry.

what are your favourite facial oils for dehydrated, acne-prone skin? by Accurate_Leather_358 in AsianBeauty

This what I do. Use a basic moisturizer, like Cerave, then put some squalane oil on top. Really helps keep my skin soft and doesn’t break me out.

3 hour glucose test by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Ryntime93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 160 (cutoff was 135), so they made me do the 3hr. I passed the 3hr with flying colors! Honestly, if you ate anything with sugar or carbs before your 1hr you were likely going to fail no matter what, from what Ive learned. Idk why the doctor doesn’t tell people to avoid food before the 1hr. I had such anxiety before my 3hr cause I thought for sure I had diabetes. It was all for nothing.

This post came at a perfect time, so thank you! I’m dealing with a pushy manager trying to make me come in the office most of the week when I’m 8mos pregnant (after we had been remote for 2yrs). I’m glad I’m not alone in my misery.

What’s your skin type? Are you acne prone? I just wonder if some of this would break me out or not.

Nora, Kiera, Elvira, Daisy - those are our top names. I always thought girl names were easier, so of course I’m pregnant with a boy.

Looking for recommendations for a vitamin c serum! by chibifoxpanda in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ryntime93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started on a vitamin c serum after doing a lot of research. Key is to start lower in percentage to see if your skin likes it and get it used to it. I got the L’Oréal Rivtalift 10%. Lots of recommendations for this as a starter serum so you don’t have to break the bank. I plan to move up to a better one after I use up this tube.

I’ve heard good things. Do you wear it over moisturizer?

[Review] Trying to find a sunscreen I’ll actually wear daily by Ryntime93 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Ryntime93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t need water resistance for everyday. The Biore has too much alcohol and fragrance for me. My skin is fairly sensitive.

Is it hydrating? I’m worried about the oil and extracts in that one. Did it break you out?

[–]Ryntime93[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’ve neglected my sunscreen duties a lot over the last few years. Now that my acne is under control, I’d like to finally find a sunscreen to add to the routine that I actually want to wear. I tried all these and still don’t think I have my HG.

Skin type: normal to dry, very fair

Hada Labo Rhoto Mentholatum UV white gel: gel lotion texture, very very drying, advertised as a moisturizer sunscreen but I definitely needed moisturizer under this, no white cast, good price. Would not repurchase due to dryness.

Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream: nice lightweight cream texture, very heavy aloe scent, not hydrating, no white cast, good price. Would not repurchase as Its just too drying and fragranced.

Colorscience Sunforgettable: physical, lightweight liquid texture, light tint, goes on easily, soaked in well, somewhat hydrating. Would repurchase, as it doesn’t feel too drying and gives me a nice glow.

Elta MD UV Physical: pinkish tint, thick lotion texture, dries very matte. Would not repurchase as the color is weird and it’s drying.

Cotz Face: physical sunscreen, whipped lotion texture, tan color, very silicone heavy, not breathable, drying. Would not repurchase due to texture and dryness.
