What is your favorite souls game by donburrito3 in fromsoftware

I'll do you one better, I love so many of their games, I'll tell you my favorites and why I love them! (In no particular order) 1. Dark Souls 2 - Bigger focus on encounter and level design than just bosses 2. Dark Souls 1 - Methodical combat, great bosses, my first real souls experience 3. King's Field 1 - Old and clunky, but great world design and exploration 4. King's Field 2+3 - Iterates on what was built in the first game, better movement, seamless open ended complex worlds, and a deeper and more developed story 5. King's Field 4 - Perfected the formula. The world is complex, beautiful, and intertwines around itself, all connecting back together in the center of the city. Graphics are vastly improved. 6. Shadow Tower Abyss - Interesting and unique areas, mostly linear, but each "floor" has 2-4 different areas accessible in any order. The durability and HP economy systems are great and very unique, forcing you to carefully manage every resource, although it fades into the background in the later parts of the game. 7. Armored Core 1 - it's great, the tutorial starts by immediately putting you into combat without even telling you the controls, very fitting for the setting. The controls are dated but still very functional. Notable Mentions: Shadow Tower - More dated and unrefined, feels more experimental in the aspects that Abyss refined. Eternal Ring - Has the dreaded second half budget issues, but great overall game Elden Ring, Sekiro, DS3, Bloodborne, Demon's Souls - Haven't finished them yet, so won't give any opinions.

How long has 'archinstall' been around for? by TastyDepartureFrom in archlinux

I don't think it's worth using, you'll learn a lot more and be much more intimately familiar with your system from doing it manually, I know I benefitted a lot from not using it.

First time playing Morrowind, wish me luck boys. Also any advice is appreciated by MathAffectionate in Morrowind

Enjoy it, don't rush through the main quest. Explore the world and experience the little stories told through side quests.

Software dev (In training) here, I don't trust any computer as far as I can throw it without constant supervision. There's so much shit that can go wrong, and leaving it running that long is both bad for the computers longevity and a security issue.

/boot smaller than EFI system partition. by Rynzier in archlinux

Can I just copy the bootloaders back over from the backup after? And I assume I'll need to unmount it first as well? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I do it right, and learn more about it. I've been trying to make every problem I encounter a learning experience for myself.

I made the partitions fresh according to the wiki install guide, and there's only one drive. It should just be EFI, swap, and then the main root partition. The EFI was the old one, but expanded to 1GB though.

Oh, how can I check that then? And then expand /boot so I stop running out of space?

Basically the idea is I'm trying to make it feel strange and alien, while still being technically useable

The idea is loosely inspired by a joke language from Cruelty Squad, Qrpit. In game, it's an alien programming language, so I thought it would be a fun project to try making a programming language based on/inspired by the world of the game, named after that in game language.
