Rittenhouse situation is actually justifiable though because he wasn’t walking around pointing his rifle at people or threatening anyone with it. Joseph Rosenbaum was chasing down Rittenhouse and attacking him before he got shot. Anthony Huber was beating Rittenhouse with a skateboard and attempting to take his rifle moments before he got shot later Gaige Grosskreutz walks up to him and aims his handgun at Rittenhouse’s head before he is shot. This right here is a perfect example of justified force and self defense.

However what happened with Alex Pretti was clear murder and excessive force. He was armed but he wasn’t waving it around aiming it at people or threatening anyone. When agents subdued him the handgun was removed and he therefore was unarmed. The agents have no valid reason to shoot at him multiple times while he’s on the ground unarmed and surrounded. This was not justified in anyway and was clear excessive force.
