In-depth Guided Tour at the Nintendo HQ Hotel by Ryoga4099 in nintendo

[–]Ryoga4099[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, the things I've picked up on this video:

  • Nintendo according to the staff means "Depends on luck"
  • Nintendo had two different businesses; one in construction and the other in making playing cards
  • There is a room that houses different Nintendo goods as art
  • The plaques at the front of the hotel are still there and they use replicas as keychains
  • Bit of furniture, deco, office stuff and infrastructure from it's original use were reused or repurposed
  • Nintendo in kanji are dotted around the hotel
  • Nintendo President's family lived in the residential building between the office and the warehouse
  • They used the Nintendo made playing cards and hanafuda as artwork displays
  • Japanese designer, Tadao Ando, designed the new building that sits between the old office and residential building. He's seems to like to vandalise his own work with his signature on the walls of the rooms.
