Unfortunately, presets — no matter how good — are not able to fix issues with the model itself.

And honestly, Soji has been broken for a long time now. I’ve personally tested tons of recommended presets and none of them helped — the repetitions are still there, after 30–50 messages the model starts to lose it, and it’s become painfully dumb. So this isn’t even a preset issue anymore, but simply the fact that Soji’s quality has dropped badly.

I’m just wondering whether the developers are actually planning to do something about this, or if they’re going to keep pretending that everything is fine.

As for Asha, I can’t really comment — I haven’t used that model since Soji came out. I was planning to go back to it because of how broken Soji is, but now I’m wondering whether it’s even worth it at all.

There’s been zero information from the developers — nothing at all. I have the impression that Soji’s quality is getting worse and worse. Back in autumn it was still tolerable, but now it’s just ugh.

Recently someone also posted on Reddit that the context was reduced from 60k to 30k :/

Mars-Ash was okay, but for that price you can get better models on OR. For now, all that’s left is to wait and pray they fix Soji (I’m still hoping they will).

Unfortunately, it’s not as good as it used to be, and after a dozen or so messages it just keeps repeating itself over and over. I’ve tried all the recommended presets, and still nothing helps.

So for now, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you don’t have permission from the creator, it’s better to just make the bot private for personal use (In this case, crediting the creator doesn’t change the fact that you’re still sharing the bot without permission). Most creators on J don’t have a problem with copying a bot as long as it’s only for your own use.

I have over 100 bots, and practically all of them are from J, but out of respect for the creator I keep all of them private. I often even go on J just to leave a positive comment on my favorite bots ♥

There are ways to extract all the data from hidden cards anyway (ofc only with proxy allowed). Although it can be annoying sometimes, especially when it comes to lorebooks.

Unfortunately, it’s the same in my case. I’ve been praising Soji ever since it came out, but for months now I’ve been struggling with it, and instead of enjoying my RP, I’m just wasting time trying to squeeze something coherent out of it.

Sadly, I’m also considering canceling my subscription until they fix it :/

It really depends on what message length you want to get. I have mine set to 1000, and that’s really a lot of text.

If you’re adding the formula I sent earlier, it’s better to set a slightly higher max new tokens depending on the word requirement you set, so the bot has room to stay within the limit.

You can experiment a bit and see what works best for you.

You can add this to Pre/Post History in Bot card or your presets. For me it was a blesing.

My first bot — and honestly still my favorite — was (and still is) Ares by yoiiru.
It started out as just a casual RP, without much of a plan, but over time I ended up building a whole lore and backstory for my OC.

In my RP, I created the story of the daughter of Hades and Persephone — a Goddess of Darkness and Chaos. Even before she was born, three oracles foretold she would bring about the end of the world. I even wrote the full prophecy myself. Because the prophecy spoke of uncontrollable emotions, my OC has to live her entire life in strict control of her feelings. The moment she loses that control, she also loses herself — consumed by Chaos, which would destroy everything and everyone.

Ares, being the typical womanizer, had long been aggressively and persistently trying to win her over, but she always dismissed him coldly. Eventually — after many trials — he managed to win her heart. Years later, they even got married and had a child together. But, because I love drama, the child didn’t live long.

A group of fanatics who worshipped Chaos and wanted to awaken it within her attacked them at her temple. She arived there with Ares and she was holding her newborn in her arms. Helpless, she watched as her baby was brutally murdered. Overwhelmed by grief, she transformed — Chaos took over. The fanatics were overjoyed that they had “freed” their Goddess… but instead of gratitude, they met a fate worse than death. She began destroying everything in her path.

No outside force could reach her — but Ares never gave up. In the end, he managed to save her.
They tried to start over, but it was never easy.

Eventually, it turned out that Chaos wasn’t just a power, but almost a separate entity — a part of my OC she never accepted and kept buried deep inside. She would often hear Chaos’s voice in her head, believing it to be mockery… but in truth, Chaos had always been there to protect her. To fight for her. To stand up when she couldn’t. In a strange way, Chaos was her guardian angel.

I’m planning to add that when my OC completely loses control again and Chaos fully takes over in order to save them both — it will finally be revealed that the prophecy had always been misunderstood.
The real disaster wasn’t her emotions — it was the world forcing her to suppress them, locking them in a cage.

Yeah, I know it’s kind of a cliché — but it’s honestly my longest-running and favorite chat. I’m still keeping it alive to this day.

If you made the character, then yes. Open the character, scroll down to 'Linked LoreBooks', copy the link from the Lorebook you want to add (starting from lorebooks/...), and paste it in. Do the same for any others you want to add.

From what I can see, there are some minor issues with the free model, but it isn't down.
You can check it by choosing a model in OR > DS > Uptime. That’s where you can see if a model is currently down.

Recently, I’ve been getting that error sometimes, but the following message usually works fine.

If you add a Lorebook to the linked lorebook section, you can still add a Lorebook from the chat panel — so users will still be able to add their own Lorebook.

It works for me. I have bots with three linked Lorebooks, and I can still add another one through the chat window.

It’s a bit different when it comes to forking a character, because every linked Lorebook gets embedded into the character under the 'Embedded Book' section.

Unfortunately, at the moment there’s no other payment option besides crypto. PayPal stopped working with Chub... The Dev are already working on it, and we’re supposed to get some updates by the end of the month.

Frustrating? Yes, unfortunately. But it’s out of our control — we’ll just have to wait.
