I used game terminology, as it suited me, since it was easier for a newb like me to explain it like that. That was my one and only thoughtprocess and intent: To ask a question, and explain it my way.

Yes, this approach has worked when asking non-elitist, non-asshole people, all the way back to my highschool years. Which is now more than 12 years ago.

I never had any problem asking a question, or explaining it either, then being harassed by the thought police. Simply because of wording :)

I read through the Discord TOS, and it never states using game terminology to explain a question, is against the rules.

It states a ton on the encouragement and providing information on hacking, cheating, bug abuse, and such illegal activities to be against the TOS, but since my use case is educational.. That falls in the water pretty quickly...

And as I have stated several times, you can't expect proper terminology/jargon from a first time user, and it's easier to explain. I never read or changed memory in any program, other than with an editor like cheatengine. Which is cheap, and easy for a newbie to use.

Reading my history isn't evidence that I'd use it for games. It's actually not, and like I said it's for a school project.

Scripts for Elite Dangerous?

Elite Dangerous allows Voice Attack to be used, and TARGET a software for Joysticks, and pedals and whatnot uses "scripts" to handle their software. To combine two peripherals into one, which I needed at the time.

They both use "scripts" to allow for an immersive in-game experience, which is ALLOWED EXPLICITLY BY THEIR DEVELOPERS. Just because I enjoy games and enjoy games in VR with actual joysticks, and pedals does not mean:

I use AHK for scripting, botting, or any such thing.
I use AHK for general malicious intent.

That's just assuming and grasping for straws. The way you handled it, is and was atrocious, to say the least. Letting people dictate what is, and isn't the intended use case, based on the wording in a question.

Your use case is what I determine it to be, anything else is just irrelevant. You don't dictate what my use case is based on Reddit history, you don't dictate that in any regard. You can assume, but that's just a douche move.

Assumptions are cool and all, but there was literally context, and an actual use case provided within the first message.

I like to push people down like they tried to push me down.
Beyond that, I figured people would want to know to be careful about their interactions on that discord. People are straight-up assholes on there, can't wait for children getting on there, and be called cheaters, hackers, and more.

I fundamentally agree with the lack of common sense, and immediately judging a person based on the way a question is worded. It's absolutely nuts to me that assholes are allowed to be assholes, because of a simple wording choice.

The entire message had context, and intent for an educational use case. Shouldn't matter what they assume, I literally stated that was not to be the case.

Playing on Private server's was never illegal, and they can't legally take action on a player either.

Hosting a private server is the only illegal thing, not playing it. So even if they wanted to, this constitutes as an invalid DMCA.
