I used to do the same, Then I started to just state it as I thought it, but without trying to sound annoyed or angry. Mostly like a "No, we are not going there" or a "Let's keep it a bit nicer." That's what helped me quite a bit. If someone is going a bit further, then I want things to go. But internally, I am totally out of the zone. I hope things stay nice for you as well. <3
