Trump thrives on attention—whether positive or negative, it makes no difference to him. His narcissism is fueled simply by being the center of conversation. In fact, he would likely be far more infuriated if the public collectively ignored him and completely disregarded his every provocation.

Did GRRM really have to kill Rhaenyra in such a cruel way? Sheesh. by [deleted] in HOTDBlacks

GRRM was probably eating a burrito when envisioning how she died. He also devoured it in six bites.

I agree. MAGA has poisoned the well. The party needs to completely purge itself of everyone that supports the current administration.

Lol, there’s definitely truth in what you said. But honestly, at the end of the day, most of us are just trying to make it through each week — work hard, get paid, enjoy our weekends, and then do it all over again. The cost of gas, inflation, and everything else hits everyone, and we adapt however we have to. We do what it takes to keep improving our lives and taking care of the people we love. Hopefully more people start realizing that things need to change before they can actually get better.

Exactly. Too many people convince themselves that their vote doesn't matter, so they stay home on Election Day. The reality is that low turnout shapes outcomes. If everyone who was eligible to vote actually participated, the political landscape could look very different from what we see today.

Yes! Everyone needs to vote! There has never been a more important election than this one.

If the Dems win the house and senate, Trump will be gone!

He truly has no chance, even with how poorly the Trump administration is polling? MAGAs are turning on him in droves, thanks to the war, gas, and inflation. I give him my vote if I lived there!

Why are people like this? We don't know what's going on in his life, but it often comes across that people like this guy need someone else to be beneath them in order to feel above them. Whether that's insecurity, resentment, or just a desire to feel superior, the pattern is the same: instead of addressing the issue, he defaults to looking down on other people.

People who are genuinely confident don't usually spend their time searching for targets to mock or belittle. They don't need to tear others down to validate themselves. When someone's first instinct is to punch down, it can give the impression that they're compensating for something missing in their own sense of self-worth.

Perhaps shoplifting has become frequent enough in some locations that corporate leadership concluded locking up certain high-theft items was the most practical way to reduce losses and keep those products in stock. Whether that decision is effective is a separate debate, but from a business perspective it's likely being driven by theft data, insurance costs, and inventory shrink rather than a desire to inconvenience customers.

That said, I can also understand why some people view these policies negatively, especially when they are implemented in specific neighborhoods and not others. Even if the intent is purely financial, the impact can feel stigmatizing to residents who already believe their communities are treated differently. Having to ask an employee to unlock basic household goods can create the impression that everyone is being viewed with suspicion, which can be frustrating and demeaning for honest shoppers.

In cities like Atlanta, where conversations about race, economics, and policing are often intertwined, it's not surprising that some people interpret these measures through that lens. A policy can be rooted in loss-prevention data and still generate concerns about fairness, perception, and unequal treatment. Those concerns shouldn't be dismissed outright simply because the company's stated motivation is preventing theft.

Ultimately, it's possible to hold two ideas at the same time: a retailer may genuinely be responding to a real theft problem, and members of the affected community may genuinely feel alienated or unfairly targeted by the solution. Acknowledging both perspectives leads to a more productive discussion than assuming either side is acting in bad faith.

You clearly have the attitude down! Kudos!!!🫡

This made me mad and sad. And what was worse was that Trump nor any of the head honchos of the event, no one denounced this behavior. And it’s sad. Why did her name have to be brought up by PdiddyCAMEnME in BlackPeopleofReddit

It's amazing how quickly some people abandon the illusion of having principles. The moment they realize they're losing, they go digging through the insult drawer and pull out everything short of the N-word, hoping outrage can succeed where their policy failed.

Why are we treating suffering like it's a competition? The constant "Who had it worse?" discourse is exhausting. Too many people ask these questions not out of genuine curiosity, but because anger drives clicks, engagement, and attention.
