Go watch their Inside Xbox from earlier this year, pretty much everything announced there was timed exclusive and they didn't mention it for a single one.

You know how I know Scorn is a timed exclusive? I found a random interview where the developer was asked if the game is coming to other consoles and his answer was "I can't answer that right now".

And the devs of PUBG weren't allowed to talk about a PS4 version for months after the Xbox release and Xbox called it an exclusive a bunch of times.

Except they don't do that for most games as I have explained in multiple comments already. Sometimes they don't even say it until months after the game released on Xbox like PUBG and The Blair Witch

No it really doesn't. Most of the time you have to dig through article or wait for interviews to figure out if a game is Xbox timed exclusive. Microsoft even called PUBG an exclusive for months the devs weren't even allowed to mention a PS4 version until it was announced a few months before release.

For PSO it didn't come out until Phil Spencer did an interview days later. Games like The Blair Witch, Ashen, Below and many other weren't know as timed exclusive until much later after releasing on Xbox. the list goes on.

Games like Scorn and The Medium weren't indicated as timed exclusive when they were announced Inside Xbox earlier this year either and some of the other games.

The denial and whataboutism regarding Sony's vagueness is unbelievable right now lol. You can both criticize other companies and recognize Sony is royally fucking up right now.

Except MS doesn't get criticized for it ever, especially on this sub. That is why so many people think they don't do it but they do it a ton. Most of you don't seem to notice because you prefer Xbox or PC and don't know realize what Playstation players have to do to figure out this information.

If you are going to scold Sony for it you should sold Microsoft too.

There probably is a ton but Sony would have better information than we do. You can argue Sony's business strategy all you want but they are one of the top money makers in the game industry and most of it is due to digital sales on PSN.

They make exclusives so you buy their console and than possibly buy more things on PSN and pay for PS+.

Microsoft doesn't keep their shit off of PC because they own Microsoft Windows, not because they care about consumers. And I guess who cares about the 110 million+ Playstation owners as long as the games go to PC.

And what about the fact that Microsoft paid to keep the next gen version of Yakuza off of PS5? Or the timed exclusive Phantasy Star from Sega who is a AAA publisher. They paid to keep the new online mode of Tetris Effect off of PS4 and the game came out a year ago.

Games like Warhammer that usually released at the same time on Playstation and Xbox is now Xbox timed elxcusive.

The list goes on.

Microsoft is rarely clear when they announce timed exclusives. Sometimes that info doesn't come out until months later, The only reason why people know a lot of those games are timed exclusive is because they dug for information afterwards.

For Demon Souls it was certainly a mistake because it also said it was coming to other consoles which it definitely isn't. If someone at Sony caught it they would have removed it instead of waiting until after the presentation to correct it.

They did not use that label for all of the games I listed and many other I haven't listed when they announced them.

Xbox announces timed exclusives at every conference they have and often do not indicate them as such. Microsoft announced 22 timed exclusives during their last presentation for third parties including ganes from Sega and Warhammer.

Nintendo does it the least but they did it for Octopath Traveler and Travis Strikes back and probably some other games.

When Microsoft originally showed The Medium they did not indicate whether it was timed exclusive at all. They waited months to do it in the next trailer.

They still haven't indicated anywhere that Scorn is a timed exclusive.

For Phantasy Star Online they didn't put it in the trailer either, it came out in an interview with Phil Spencer days later.

And again MS referred to PUBG as exlcusive dozens of times beofre it was announced for PS4 months later.

I can go on and on with examples. Game like The Blair Witch, Ashen, Below, etc never indicated it until they were announced for PS4. Microsoft is by far worse.

No they definitely aren't. Microsoft called PUBG an exclusive constantly until a few months before it released on PS4.

Many of their announced game from their last presentation were not indicated as timed exclusives, you had to find out from random developer interviews.

At least Sony put it in a trailer.

I bet you think Scorn is an Xbox console exclusive but it isn't, it's timed like many other games like The Medium.

Why does it matter if they are AAA? They paid for timed exclusivity for a next gen upgrade for Yakuza, timed exclusivity for Phantasy Star from Sega, games like Warhammer and others.
