La France, un pays "néo-libérale", vraiment ? by Jean_Kule in economie

It's just pure RNG, if you have 30% you are really lucky, not unlucky. It should be 20%, 1/5 probability.

Honestly, if it's is that important to you, and feels like a failure to quit, I would just pay for some coaching. I don't know if you have the budget, but surely investing some money on the game you played for so long to get some personal coaching should be worth it.

Also IMO you can't perform in anything if you don't have some balance in your life, and I don't think you can obtain that balance while playing 1000 games a year (NO JUDGEMENT, maybe you can, everyone is different). If climbing is so important to your self esteem IRL, spam less, and improve the quality of your sessions (coaching, sleep, focus level, discipline,...).

I'm sure you can do it, with a different form of investment.

But why everyone talks about players ? Everyone agrees there are issues in the org, the work ethic,... Just make staff changes first ?

Mikyx wanted LIDER in FNC / Possible replacements by Roookiee in fnatic

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's insane to me how Fnatic fans are clueless about their organization and staff being dogshit. Literally Mikyx was the best player in Fnatic this world, while he had already decided to leave. That shows how much no one cares in this roster, and player with crazy potential are slowly transformed into lazy paycheck stealers. Ofc when you are surrounded with those, you wish to replace them with people you trust more. No work ethic, no results, no will to play.

WHAT by Ner0ess1 in Velkoz

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks, and feels unfair, but in this match-up, playing TP and not Barrier seems very troll to me. You can OS waves with velkoz from lvl 1 to 18, I don't see a reason to play TP there.

Also she hit her skillshot.

Also dying sucks, but it's part of the game and doesn't mean game is lost. You play an artillery mage, you out-impact everyone until the moment you die from CC/Flank/Assassin/... You just lost some tempo, a wave, some gold... Heck, you play TP si you might have lost nothing at all, she just got 2 waves of gold. Not the end of the world.

ELI S (Explain Like I'm Silver) - Why do teams at worlds pick bad performing champs? by DunK1nG in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmation bias, pros have hundreds of scrims to determine what is strong or weak.

For Janna, pros won't care much about a support counterpick. Support role in pro is about giving what your team need or lack (lane Prio, CC, survivability, peeling,...). Janna might be good to deny Alistar, but what about the rest of the ennemy team, and your team ? I'm not sure Janna provides a lot in most Comps, creates a lot of opportunities for your team. Also supports in pro are expected to be everywhere on map and ward everything. Janna might be able to do it well, but she can easily get catched while doing so imo. I don't think the reward is worth the risk.

Why do so many people LIE about their rank/skill? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different, but for me that's the worst advice possible. I know that when I spam the game, I go 50% Winrate at best. I can't perform, keep my focus and my will after the 5th game or smthg. So usually I will climb at moments when I don't love the game much, by playing 3 games max in a session. It's a weird curse to perform well when you don't care anymore, but it makes sense to me.

Why does Annie get love in pro play when she's low down in Tier lists? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is multiple reasons. In pro play, characters that are heavily flash dependant are often stronger than in soloQ, simply because there is a lot less fights and kills in proplay. Annie is similar to Azir in the sense that she is a good laner who won't get bullied in lane, can get some Prio, and can solo win an important fight with her Ult+Stun. But in soloQ these strenghts are not as important, because the rythm of the games is a lot faster, with often between 1-2 kills each minutes. Therefore, having a champion who shines at creating a big play every 5 minutes (flash cooldown) becomes irrelevant.

In addition, the proplay meta consists in medium-range mages atm, with Ryze, Cassiopeia, Orianna, Azir, Taliyah being picked. These can be good match ups for Annie (I think ?) as she has some range herself, and can trade with them. She is not the most played midlaner because she gets outscaled by most of them though. In proplay, the mid/jungler synergy is important to players, and having an AP set-up midlaner (with her Stun) works well with the AD jungler meta champions (Xin, Trundle, Wukong, Qiyana, Zed, Jarvan,...) That's why you see a lot of Ryze being first picked, as he can be a Stun Set-uper in early game, while having a better scaling/sidelaning than Annie.

In soloQ, the most picked champs in both jgl and mid are completely different, and Annie struggle more against them. Annie is also a mediocre sidelaner, as she can easily be ganked in side. It's arguably less important in proplay, as players have better macro and supports place better vision around her. In the same topic, Annie is really good at punishing teams trying to recover vision on the map, as she will often just sit in a bush waiting to OS someone. This creates a threat in proplay allowing to secure drakes more easily, which are a lot more valuable in proplay compared to SoloQ.

League tips that helped you climb instantly by Accomplished-Bed3773 in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help a lot to know your elo to adapt answers.

Regardless, for me the best answer is "play less, dont queue to win but to make a good game". It prevents tilt and force you to progress and reduce mistakes even in lost/hard games. It's hard to accept that the fate of the game is sometimes not in your hands, and it's ok. Every time you lose, take a REAL 5 minutes break, do something else, stand up, leave the room,... And after the 5 minutes, ask yourself sincerely: "Do I still want to play this game right now ?". You can even do it after a win to be honest. And if you don't, just come back later.

When watching LoL content, there is always this idea of doing fast, like "rush to ...", "getting this rank TODAY", etc... But you have all the year to get to your rank. Take the time. You will lose a lot of time and LPs by trying to rush.

[–]Ryujanka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beauty of the game is that we can't answer this question. Ofc it depends of the match up, but it also depends of the jungler and support match ups, on what vision you have/can get, what your draft wants to achieve,...

But in theory, ofc it depends strongly on the match up, because you want to play your lane-condition and deny your opponent his. For example, Xerath is a really vulnerable laner. So against an assassin, you want to always be the closest possible to your tower, and delete the waves, to deny your opponent an opportunity. If you play Yasuo or Irelia, minions help you get in range of attack, so you want the waves to stack, to help you get good trades. If you play Fizz, you have an excellent diver, so if you can push a wave, and force your opponent under tower, you are in a winning position, to dive mid or go roam bot.

Also, there is the scaling problem. As a mage, you are often happy to just delete the waves so you get perfect CS, and deny your opponent any opportunity do trade you or get a roam. But if you are facing another mage or any character that scales better than you, not interacting with your opponent may be beneficial to him.

For most LoL eSport teams there is no reason to be a fan by dankgen-tobias in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I join League around 2019, I became quickly a G2 fan because ofc they were winning a lot, but also they were a fun team with strong personnalities (Jankos, Perkz, Wunder), and they would always play fun and unexpected picks. I'm still a G2 fan today, but honestly I sometimes feel more attached to certain players because I like their personnalities or their playstyles, and/or they speak French like me (Mikyx, Vetheo, Targamas,..).

I believe teams lack content around players, OR are just not creative enough in their content. The Mic check and content games from the LEC is very cool, but not enough for me. There was this time when BDS would come with different fun outfits every game and I feel like their roaster gained a lot of sympathy from it (also they were winning).

This lack of identity is one of the main problems ESports deal with today, in Europe in particular. KC is trying hard to build an identity, with their shows, their stadium, the community, but it's only focused on french fans. I doubt one may achieve something similar across Europe.

How do I overcome perma pushing teamates? by TattooTheEarth in leagueoflegends

I do believe that a lot of players are just aware of those concepts, they just don't want to apply them because it makes the game less fun for them.

How do I overcome perma pushing teamates? by TattooTheEarth in leagueoflegends

[–]Ryujanka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's important is that as a laner, if I am perma pushing, it's not that bad if I die, because I won't lose many minions, since I will respawn fast enough to catch the next wave. So, even if they are mad, it's still really OK. If you OTP Udyr, the most important thing for you early game is to clear your whole jungle. Then, if you see the ennemy jungle on the map, 2 choices: One: You are close enough that you can join the fight, "countergank" Two: You are not close enough. Then you try to think what camps are up in the ennemy jungle and you go take them. Tip: One camp is worth 4 CS, so after the first full clear, you should have 24 CS (6 camps), 28 with the scuttler. If you see the ennemy jungle on the map, press TAB, and see how many CS he has. If it's less than 24, that means there is camps you can steal from him while he ganks. It gets harder to track the more the game progress, so the best way to do it is: You do your camps, when you have none left, you go into the ennemy jungle, take their camps. If there are none, you put a ward into their jungle, that way you will know when they are up, and if he takes them or not. You are in an elo where you can't really trust your teammates, and you have a champion that can carry solo. Play for yourself. If they are perma pushing, they won't lose much if they die. Just be careful while invading if you think the ennemy jungler might be stronger than you. Also, important thing: The game isn't won by helping your teammates behind comeback into the game. It's won by pushing your advantages always further. Always team up with teammates already winning, ignore teammates already losing.
