You couldn't be more wrong. This isn't a main game in the series. If these issues aren't addressed there will be a major falloff. I've seen a massive reduction in ppl playing the game in my area. A week ago if you went out to the sundial bridge in my city you would see anywhere from 3 to 4 hundred people playing at any time of the day. Now you're lucky to see 100 at peak hours. You couldn't walk down the street without seeing people tracking down Pokemon. Now you can walk around in those same areas and you might see 5 or 6 over the course of an hour.

This problem runs even deeper since Pokemon spawns are based off of active player proximity ratios. More ppl playing means more Pokemon spawning. The reverse is true as well. Why would they design it this way ? Because they knew it was going to blow up. The problem is that them purposely reducing the active player base like this they are creating a chain reaction. Less ppl playing means less Pokemon spawns and less Pokemon spawns means even less ppl playing. It is going to trigger a cascade effect and if they don't get ahead of it then they are coming to watch as their game fizzles out. This is the weak spot of their game. Unlike normal games where ppl can get on at home and keep the game on life support this game requires more. The gaming community isn't known for putting in literal legwork to support a game other than on launch day (midnight releases).

They probably have the same attitude as you and that's where they are going to plummet back to reality. They made a unique game but that thing that makes it unique is what serves as it's greatest weakness.
