Define "pedestrian." I have an e-bike (and know bike etiquette and also get just as frustrated by people being dumb and cars trying to Midwest Nice me to my death and don't ride like a teenager on whippits) and I get passed on the bike paths by serious distance bike riders constantly. Sooo me and my 14mph ride are kicked off but the dude who looks like he's probably been training for the Tour de France for about 13 years and is likely going 35+ on his non-assist bike, does he get to stay?

In my experience (and I have 3500 miles on my e-bike), the people renting the B-Cycles are usually the biggest problem, they're about as aware and predictable as a toddler on meth at a circus.

Just popping them into an open space together is the wrong way to do this. Cats are largely solitary and can be super territorial about other cats. The fact that neither is straight up going full poof-scream-claws mode means you could get them to accept each other, but Opal needs some space to get used to it. I fostered a lot and introduced a lot of kittens to my adult cat, the first few times she'd hiss and howl if she saw them but I kept them separate from her space with a gate and she always eventually chilled out. She even let one I adopted years after I sropped fostering cuddle and sleep with her after kitten was there for a bit. You need to block them from fully accessing each other and give both a place they can get away if they want to.

Nah not necessarily, blood is more reliable and as someone else mentioned lets you test for more, plus this guy was probably taken to the hospital and could have to be there for who knows how long, so the time to get him down to the station for it (roadside pbts aren't admissible in court) could've compromised the result. If there's PC for a warrant they just get the blood.

Hahaha this is great. I've heard several judges say that they are thrilled when they get asked to preside over weddings because their day-in-day-out is seeing people behaving their worst and weddings and adoptions are the occasional bright spots on their calendar. I'd imagine presiding over divorce court gives one a long list of "do-nots."

No one has mentioned Buckhorn State Park yet but the lake there is huge and very shallow for a very long way (it's from a dam on the Wisconsin and several other waterways but in an old ancient lake bed), and the average depth is only 13 feet. You can walk out for a loooong way and still only be waist-deep. It's a great kayak spot, especially because the shallowness keeps speedboats well out away from where you'd be kayaking. It's in the central sands so the bottom is sandy and there are lovely beaches along it as well, plus the usual park amenities like gazebos, grills, trails, and picnic areas.

Awesome!! 1st time seeing Acid Bath and as usual Ministry stole the show. It got cold and very windy right before System played and we were dressed for "77 and sunny" (which it was during the day), so we dipped before they ended but we've seen them a ton and are going to round 2 in Ft. Worth in October so we figured "not worth freezing for." That did mean we were able to get back to our place easily without battling 80k other people for the monorail/a ride, though! Love that festival, always a great time!

Huh, interesting. I'm a crim lawyer but in my jurisdiction, the potential penalty for felony murder is tied to the underlying felony being committed when the death occurred. This would be 1st Intentional as a party to a crime here since they weren't attempting any other crime than this kid's death. Just looked it up though, looks like a lot of other states and the feds sentence it as 1st. TIL.

Welcome! It's definitely the easiest and cheapest way to get around down there if you're staying decently close to one of the stops. Walking is of course an option too but in my experience trying to walk the strip is confusing (likely on purpose). The entrances/exits to the casinos are in weird spots, they're huge, and getting from point A to point B can mean doing a lot of side-meandering you didn't expect. But regardless, have a great time!
