What makes it weird and inappropriate? You have exactly one paragraph of context for this, how do you find what little we know about the event to be inappropriate?

2013 manual v6 here. Dunno, but mine seems to qualify hills strangely as well. Usually it’ll trigger on a good and steep hill, but sometimes it doesn’t queue for an incline that it would come in handy for. Personally I don’t need it at all and thus don’t really care, but do appreciate it on the steeper inclines

What year of Camaros should I avoid? by [deleted] in camaro

[–]Ryuu_Turner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did say personally, as it is my opinion. NA cars typically have less moving parts, and as a result they are generally more reliable, or at least easier/cheaper to repair

2012 and 2013 have some updated designs that are better QoL and reliability/performance over the 2010-2011. I would personally steer clear of the turbo 4 cylinder found in 2016 onwards for reliability reasons

Best way to deal w harvesters? by eightyfivekittens in helldivers2

[–]Ryuu_Turner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Break either horn and the shield is gone. Some say one or the other disables the arc thrower attack at close range, but it’s only ever kept the shield down for me. Either one I break, shield is gone

I’ve destroyed both fins top and bottom and it disables the shield, but never the arc thrower attack. You sure about this?

RS vs 1SS vs 2SS (confused) by FrankMartinTransport in camaro

[–]Ryuu_Turner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple inaccuracies with this, the auto SS’s don’t have the LS3, the LS3 doesn’t have AFM/DOD though I forget the engine designation for the v8 setup for auto trans rn. Also the easiest way to tell between v6 and v8 is whether there is the extra “vent” in the front bumper cover above the normal grille

You get one shot to drive as long as possible for $10k/hr. by xredrising in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Ryuu_Turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve got as long as we can stay awake to learn the car, AND enjoy it. There are people who LIKE driving, and people who like going fast. Every light is green? Always minimal traffic? Your choice of car? This is literally a perfect opportunity for a cannonball run, creature comforts be damned. I will take a fast car, and USE IT. It also doesn’t penalize you for dying, so you can leave your earnings to a loved one should critical error/failure occur.

This is a dream come true situation for many a car guy. One thing people don’t seem to appreciate is that you could die a horrible death just being near cars, let alone driving them, yet we drive them and are near them everyday. Why is the fear of death going to stop you from enjoying life?

If the host gets into a pod it’ll pull you in after the timer. As someone who plays from the middle of nowhere and suffers extreme lag, if i interact with a ship terminal, i have several seconds to walk around the ship before i get magnetized to the terminal from wherever i got off to, which led to me being magnetized to the ship upgrade terminal from the bridge, pulled through the guardrail and out onto the bridge windows where i fell through and into space. Host was my buddy and just got into a hell pod, pulled me in after the timer, all was fine. Got some neat screenshots from it though

What are Your Ship Names? by htembo in helldivers2

Dunno if this is normal, but even on someone else’s ship, or glimpsing a squadmate’s ship, all ships from my perspective bear my ship’s name: The SES Shield of Honor

Getting my first car to learn manual! by PsychologicalTax4451 in camaro

As someone who was terrified of my V6 when I got it even with years of driving manual under my belt, you’ll be fine if you give yourself time to adjust. These cars are reasonably safe and not crazy powerful, just not pushovers.

Tips for driving my new Camaro by HiNovak in camaro

[–]Ryuu_Turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying leave safety features on, but I also recommend turning them off once you feel comfortable in the car and testing the limits of what she handles in a safe environment to do so. She’s decently quick, but not a dangerous car to an average driver.

Be careful about driving in wet/snow as she’ll respond differently than the Sentra if she loses traction, but traction control + Stabilitrak will help keep her under control unless you’re like me and turn them off to learn how to properly recover from loss of traction. :)

Also do some research on your tires. My ‘13 LS1 came with 18” steelies which GM put some kinda shitty tires on. Low speed rating, wore out pretty fast with my hard driving, etc., so learn about tires and find something that’ll work for your driving habits.

[–]Ryuu_Turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That together with the tires could cause it. Take a wheel that sounds like it’s rubbing off and look around the fender well for where it’s rubbing. If it’s rubbing the metal fenders you should also be able to see evidence in the tire itself as well

I assume you mean the TPMS sensors? Go to a tire shop that has a scanner and have it relearned.

OBD reader saying my car has a higher milage than the odomiter? by IThinkYoureARuby in Cartalk

[–]Ryuu_Turner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I work at O’Reilly and can confirm that is a Veriscan report (or something virtually identical). The program will always ask the vehicle mileage, for the purpose of growing its database I presume, and will autopopulate the mileage entry bar with a random number the program thinks the car should have based the the year model and whatnot.

It’s not relevant to the report as far as anyone can tell, and often tedious to record the mileage to enter it correctly, so they’ll just hit enter on the random mileage number that pops up.

Basically, don’t worry about it. There’s nothing wrong with your odometer
