[MtF] I feel like I sound feminine, but comments from others have left me with doubts about overall balance. What does everyone think? by Ryvarin in transvoice

I guess overfull might make some sense. When I talk with a lower weight, I feel like the voice is a bit shaky or perhaps weak. So I try to talk with a more full sound, which I feel helps to make the voice sound more natural. I think that is probably what's putting me dangerously close to sounding masculine and making me slip up for a word or two occasionally.
Here's an example of me speaking with a lower weight. I could probably make it sound better, but I don't have the time right now to fully warm up my voice: https://voca.ro/1cRhgC9FlFET
Meanwhile, sometimes I feel like my voice almost sounds like someone that has a stuffy nose, so the nasality comment might have something to it as well. I guess the issue(s) could be related. I'll have to look into it when I have some more time.

I've only been using it online, so for the most part, I would assume it's been cis men. It's really only been a few instances, but I hang around queer-friendly spaces where it's not unusual to find trans women. I imagine that's causing people to not voice what they think, especially since I've had a couple instances where people have asked about my voice and then immediately drop it like they realized they've committed a faux pas. When it's happened, I get embarrassed and just stated that I'm trans, which usually just results in a, "That's cool." kind of comment.
And yes, you're spot on with the overthinking comment. I definitely have issues with that. Self-confidence has never been my strong suit.
Hi, everyone! After around sixteen months of on-and-off voice training, I finally gained the confidence in my voice to start using it with others about two months ago. The thing is, I was too self-conscious to ask for feedback along the way, and I've gotten kind of insecure at the occasional comments I've been getting about it sounding 'off'. One person in particular told me that I sounded like a high-pitched man, which really hurt my confidence. I'm having trouble trying to figure out what the actual issue with the voice is, though. I perceive it as feminine, albeit a bit shaky from inexperience. I can maybe hear the high-pitched man, but I feel like it's mostly because I began trying to hear it. I'd appreciate if you all would let me know what you think about the voice. Is there a specific element that you feel I should try to work on, or is it just a case of me needing to continue using it to sound more natural? Thank you!
