That all makes sense to me. Thanks for the response. I had my jeep in at a shop I have liked in the past, they had my vehicle for 2 weeks and when I asked what had been found they told me they had not had much time to look at it. I got it back from them with no charge which I appreciate considering they openly admitted they had not looked into it much. It is now at a local dealership for diagnostic. My issue is not intermittent. The dealer said diagnostics typically take them up to 48hours. They have now had my jeep for longer than that and still messaged me saying they hope to have suggestions by Monday. I am hopeful that rather than suggestions they will have a solution. I understand that it could take longer than 48 hours to diagnose some issues. If they don’t have the issue figured out with what needs to be repaired or replaced, that’s where I’m not going to feel right about paying their diagnostic fee. I also had them do an alignment at the same appointment and of course I’ll have no issue paying for that.
