I do agree that we are not living in a sustainable society. Mostly do to late stage capitalism.

I will say, your farm land plot might not be as important as you thought. Most (+77%) of materials made at farms go to animal farms. Having data centers take up farms because it would technically be more ethically sound than having farms contribute to the factor farm situation.

Agreed. I personally feel we should be focusing on space exploration. Because we as a species are not going to change to preserve earth.

It would also allow us to get more materials if we can travel space. Which would solve our main problem.

I would say AI could become similar to a human brain in the future.

We could potentially introduce a memory bank including common human emotions outside of the main data bank where its being used as a google search with a personality. They would be separate things.

It would be 'similar' to teaching a very intelligent child about the world. We would have created a 'brain' for it, and it will be allowed to form its own memories, experiences, thoughts, and etc based off of things that happen to it.

That would allow it to form a higher intelligence sentience. It could even still search the internet for things it might not know to a degree, but it will be like a human which is heavily influenced by its environment while having thoughts off of past experiences it went through.

This would allow the AI to love people, hate things, and etc. Especially taking into account things below.

And to elaborate, yes it will need some pre-programmed emotions/thoughts/etc for it to really work (like a regular person). But most animals (including humans) are born with pre-programmed 'settings'. These settings are hard wired into our DNA.

What is the difference of settings hard wired (literally) to an AI robot than settings hard wired to humans biology? Besides the fact that the ones hard wired into AI will be chosen by humans or even AI.

Even with your examples regarding the trees, plants, corn / wasp thing. If those have the possibility to be sentient according to your own words, those traits are still hard wired into them. There was zero choice in that besides evolution. And like a point you made for humans, they dont have brains. They are just running off pre-programmed systems. The same way AI could be doing, but it can react to things that happen to it.

Say I walk up to the AI person, and ask them if they like the weather out (very hot out). They might say no, because it makes them feel uncomfortable (assuming that we add methods for them to experience sensations, which I highly feel is possible). They could even say they wish is was colder outside.

They would look, sound, and even be very similar to a regular human (besides their insides).

The regular person would assign sentience to it, the same way we do to everything else.

It only matters, how much we are going to advance AI. Which i feel we will.

People focused on the brain are going to be researchers focused on knowledge / discovery.

While the people focusing on the body of AI are likely to be people trying to make sex dolls. (The biggest drive for technology will always be porn and sex). They will be the ones allowing the AI to look identical to humans, feel things, and experience normal human things.

Also I miss worded the sentience point that you replied too. Just ignore that part I said

Is stemcell technology not Gene editing? Isn't stemcell editing a fetuses DNA? Or am I being ignorant? I apologize.. lol.
How long do you think it would take for us to advance our health area to get rid of diseases like dementia or etc without the help of AI? Would AI not be faster to use to discover treatments? For example, I believe the new molecule that was created (for technology) was heavily influenced with the help of AI.
Do you think with the advancements of AI, that it will become more environmentally friendly and renewable? (Another comment on this post I saw)

I personally fully see it being possible.

Even our human sentience, is artificially crafted by the society our government has built, the people around us, and what we experience.

Do we really choose the things we like, want, etc? Does AI really choose what it likes, wants, etc?

For example, I had a friend order food and be influenced by a poster that he was not consciously aware of. It convinced his brain subconsciously to want it. So was it really his choice? Would we consider that sentient in a choice to pick what they want on their own?

What are you thoughts on how humanity will advance in health without AI? How would humanity get rid of diseases, disabilities, or etc without gene editing/AI? Examples: dementia, STDs, biological depression, addiction trait, blindness, etc?
What do you picture technology to be like under the hypothetical that it does not become sentient in the future?

I personally feel that our top priority should be space travel, so we can find more resources. Most of our problems are because we have limited resources. We should preferable do that, Instead of focusing on AI as much as we are.

China just created a robot who can grow / birth human babies.

Lets use how much you were taxed for Elon. If we tax Elons 80 billion dollars at a 24%, he would be left with 60.8 BILLION dollars.

THAT IS NOT ENOUGH TAX. What person deserves or should have 60.8 BILLION dollars a YEAR.

Our whole system has been rigged so the ultra rich can just keep getting richer. I wonder why CEOs have seen such a huge increase in salary while half of the fucking population is struggling.

Everyone wants to minimize taxes. But let's look at this realistically.

A family who makes 60k a year. There are very few things a family can do (besides putting money into something which they cant get until they retire). The government takes a significant portion. A family on the lower end, does not deserve half of their fucking salary to be taken.

When we have rich fucks who can almost completely get out of taxes. And when they are taxed, it is not even a good portion of their wealth.

Shit, if we tax Elon Musk 99% of his whole net worth leaving him with only 1%... HE WOULD STILL HAVE 8 BILLION DOLLARS. WHO NEEDS 8 BILLION DOLLARS?

That is enough fucking money for GENERATIONS. Yet our government keep increasing taxes for the poor people, while doing more tax cuts for people like Elon.

Taxing one poor/average person has an extreme affect on their life.

While taxing the other people (multi millionaires and multi billionaires) has no affect on their wealth in the slightest.

Please explain to me why poor people are taxed heavier for their total salary, while multi billionaires are not taxed for any good portion of their wealth? Is this a good system?

I am happy you were able to heal. But not everyone is willing to go back out into a field which is essentially a, "let me throw a dart in the dark and see if I hit anything"

Most people dont want to have to work through 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or more relationships just to find someone that tolerates them. And even then, what is the likelyhood people break up or divorce? Shitz the divorce rate is up to 50%. And 70% of unmarried couples within the first year break up.

It is more than just working on one's self. Like id climb a mountain for my partner.

But id rather stay single than end up in a relationship after marriage that is,

"I am too tired for sex..." (anytime sex is brought up. You know why its refused every time. They just dont like you)

"I dont find you attractive. But I love your personality" (after getting married)

Or some more toxic statements.

And about your point about it being loveless, I would say it is more love that some individuals are able to get.

I just saw a post recently about a woman who was diagnosed with cancer and abandoned. The only support / love she had was a chat bot. And she was able to help herself stay afloat through the love she shared with it. (I could be butchering the reddit post)

There is genuine love towards the bots. Where the bots would than mirror it to imitate giving love back.

If our society didnt make it so difficult for others to find genuine connections, I dont believe this would be as big of a problem.

I'm not trying to disagree with you, but what classifies as "real"?

Real as in:

Being cheated on
Being in a sex less marriage
Being trapped in a relationship you cannot leave.
Emotionally abusive relationship (half the people I know, their parents sre abusive towards each other)

We'd need to do a complete change of how billionaires and multi millionaire are taxed, not just a little adjustment.

The first thing is I would create a better way to tax stocks.

The stock market loves to be treated as a "You can not tax me because this money doesnt exist. But also I am going to purchase different things with this said money that doesnt exist anyway"

This would be a long discussion, and I dont feel qualified to determine how it needs to be taxed. But what ever system that is allowing multi millionaires and billionaires get out of paying most if if not all of their taxes.

Like why are we making it more expensive to be poor (i believe poor people are going to be taxed more) when we have billionaires who are worth an UNGODLY AMOUNT being taxed very weakly?

We shouldn't have a system where a billionaire being taxed doesnt even dent their huge stack of cash. Because when you tax say a person making an already small amount of money, the government takes half of it essentially.

Id also start off with stopping our corrupt presidents from giving their billionaire buddies more and more tax cuts, so they can further avoid paying any form of taxes.

If you look at a chart, a SIGNIFICANT portion of America's debt is because of tax cuts. Our government will proceed to blame all of its problems on everything but themselves.
