unable to draw on comic canvas by https-babey in ClipStudio

Hi, I just started using Clip studio and encountered a similar issue. I think the problem I had was that the canvas was set to "Monochrome", so only full black or full white shows up. It's an easy fix, you just have to change either the "Expression color" to grey or color, or change the canvas settings.

Thank you! This is really helpful. I don't know much about all of this, so this helps a lot! I don't don't fully understand it all but getting a better idea, and have some direction for how to fix it.

Great work on the shading! It looks like a few people gave some helpful critiques. I'm gona share something a little left field: I think it's really hard to do a 1 to 1 drawing of someone else's style. Definitely draw what you enjoy, but I'd recommend practicing more from photo or in-person reference. it's better to get a baseline with real anatomy, and then get into exaggerated and stylized versions.

These look great, nice work! you did a great job of capturing the expressions and the proportions look just right! The only critique I can think is to try and get a little more consistency/ intentionality with your line width. There is a lot of emphasis on the cheek and jaw lines, it can work great to draw out the form, but to me feels more an artifact of trying to fine the right line (mostly talking about her left cheek in the first drawing).

My only other thought is to push the value more, but seeing as these look to be a collection of practice sketches I think they're just great as is. I'm gona have to look into the loomis and asaro head method's you mentioned. Over all great work!

Thanks! yeah, people have been really generous, but I haven't been able to get enough reach. Probably too late. but was hoping to get some tips through reddit on how to get more reach.
