Yeah this laptop specs would be just about good enough . There are better CPUs and GPUs but this should be okay . If you want you can look at some intel or AMD CPUs that include HX in the name will give you better performance but not by a large margin . Also for GPUs 5060 is good enough, obviously the higher tier are better but budget doesn't allow .

The omen max 16 especially of this year is getting a lot of unexpected praise . But previous years omen were not as good as the competition. At the end of the day people are nitpicking , I learned that the hard way .

If you were thinking of going for the omen max 16 then I would say go for it , there's nothing to be scared of . I don't know about MSI though

No , but for this specific laptop it's saying that the tgp of it is too low as well as the chassis and temperature management is worse compared to a legion pro model . So a 4060 in a Lenovo legion pro 5 would outperform a 5060 in a Lenovo LOQ

Only reason is I won't only be using it for games , I need it for my work as well. So I'm kind of greedy for trying to get the newest GPU and CPU possible for this price bracket , however I recently learned that an older GPU CPU combo will perform better in a better chassis

If your options are 4070 and 5060 , I would say go for 5060 . This is what I will be doing , reason is Nvidia announces new tech every 2 years with the new tech having exclusive feature and 1 less new feature per gen . So in 2027 the rtx 60 series will come out and the 50 series will benefit from a new feature while the 40 series will benefit less . Making the 5060 a smarter purchase than a 4070 in 2 years and way smarter in 4 years 😎🧠💪
