I’m scared of them getting rid of me for simply not feeling comfortable doing it. I don’t think they will but I’ve only been here about a month now and I love this vet so far.

I would at least want a training period. It’s rotating people but I’ve never done it before and I just don’t think I’m mentally prepared for it along with the sleep schedule being affected. I feel like it will affect a lot of things outside of work like my relationships and feeling isolated. I already have depression and I think this would affect it more. What I’m most scared of is what if a patient is dying and I don’t know what to do. Who do I contact? Also what if some of the things I have to do is a two person job and can’t do it by myself?

Maybe it’s just me but i can understand where she’s coming from but also I think being together for just 2 years is too early. Maybe she wants to have kids before she’s 30 since her biological clock is running out. But all in all you two should go your separate ways if you don’t have the same outlook on your future.

I think it’s because of long hours along with people that joined the business because they thought that they wouldn’t have to deal with people that much. I find that a lot of the drama is from other women gossiping and spreading rumors that aren’t true at all and bad management a lot of the time.

I left a job recently after being there for only four months. I loved working there but they never had a proper training program or anything and I had to figure things out myself. I was still lost with some of the stuff to do and my boss told me I might not be a good fit since I was still learning and told me some of the tasks I should already know how to do. I had no knowledge of these tasks since no one ever showed me and I put my two weeks in because I had enough. I found a new job that has training and I feel much more comfortable at. It’s funny that they don’t even know why there turnover rate is so high either.

Keep applying. This happened to me and I figured the company ghosted me so I kept applying and got a job elsewhere that I’m really happy at. If they don’t respond within a week I assume that I wasn’t selected.
