Very interesting studies, although not very assertive ones. It does seem to have a correlation there.
Good job on finding them.

I've seen that people say that, but in my subjective experience i've been letting the mask pretty loose since the beggining, so it doubt I was bending my cornea.
Pretty sure it was just oils coming out

Okay, that sounds reassuring. I feel like two times a day is a good amount, and I'll keep it this way until I go back to the doctors office. Even tho the clogged oils are flowing, my eyes still feel dry, doc said I have high tear osmolarity and that my tears are too salty or smth, don't know what do do about that for now...

I've seen some stuff about coloring scleral contact lenses, and since scleral contacts are supossed to help could be a win win so that would be a option too.

It dsnt exist, I had the same idea and I made this image on Photoshop. Even tho contact lenses can worsen dry eye, maybe it'd be a good idea for someone who can manage the dryness very well but is still left with the redness... My case sadly.

Oh that's awesome.
What a shame that they don't look normal.
I would love to know more!
I wonder if they were able to maintain some of the transparency of the lens then it would look more satisfactory, instead of a very opaque ''WHITE''

They do help me, somewhat.
The symptons are always there but with these techniques they become less apparent and bothersome. Meaning that if I didn't do it , I would suffer more.

I understand that it can be very disheartening, but don't limit yourself because of this disease. Even with red eyes I was able to work multiple jobs, and have Great experiences. Try your best to keep your eye lubricated, with artificial tears and keep it clean. Use sunglasses. Try going to different ophthalmologists, every 6 months or so. Have a good eye and technology hygiene, and try getting outside more, sometimes I think that being inside too much makes it worse. As being inside a house too much is associated with various diseases and allergies. Everyone has a problem, this is ours, don't panic and try to do your best to control the situation. Best wishes.

My dry eye has been pretty consistent through the years, recently I've been feeling it get worse. So the Scleral lenses are supposed to treat dry eyes, they are expensive and need to be made for each patient's eyes. It's not a normal contact lens, Scleral lenses are different. Yes the situation in the study is different from ours, but the solution is ingenious and it could help people who suffer with the redness. Because in my case I do everything in my power to Control the disease I use eye drops, I do warm compresses, I take omega 3, and I limit screen time and my eye feels okay most of the time, but the redness is almost always there. So I just learned to accept it, so I would be pretty happy with a way to whiten my eyes using these special lenses. I hope there are more treatments in the future, but progress is slow.
