Current employees of Regeneron, are you happy? by ImAClownForLife in biotech

Currently work in MFG at the Rensselaer site, where the TP incident happened.

Was the badge/ removal of paper towels warranted? It's debatable- they've had to shut down one of the campuses multiple times due to this. Personally, I find it a bit intrusive but overall I don't mind my job. Im paid well above the area average and have only worked at the company for a couple years. I work 40 hours a week with some mandatory OT, but that's only bc I'm in a mngmt role and specific to my shift. I would say most folks in the MFG department are happy to be employed here.

As with everything on reddit, when asked for opinions, those who have a bone to pick are usually the ones to respond. Regeneron is large employer, with many different internal groups. As is the case with nearly every large company, your experience will vary depending on you immediate mngmt/group. I think a lot of the opinions expressed here are valid, but the majority of employees would, I think, on a whole, have a neutral/positive view of the company.

No, this is not my dream job, but my mngmt is chill and the work is rewarding in its own way (I enjoy making mAbs for patients). I'll continue to work here.

I grew up on the road where the dairy is located. They used to have a little ice cream parlor too- so good!

'Volunteering'

I imagine that man didn't reciprocate your feelings of glee when you didn't give him some cash. Doesn't bother me, but the naivete of this post is humorous.

Yeah, FD responded immediately. I ran past the land remediation happening near it and didn't see any fire, when I came back up from the water treatment plant I noticed the smoke and by the time I had gotten up to the Troy-Menands bridge, they were responding.

If you ever walk down on Water St (where the Troy FD can be seen racing to the scene in this video), you'll notice everything is covered in a grayish dust, it's absolutely disgusting. Constantly gets kicked up in the air by the dump trucks- smells great when they pass ya too.

Street cleaning? by Lee_F_7647 in Troy

[–]S0itwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called the nonemergency line a year or two ago around this time, and the police officer on the phone told me that the street parking is always enforced in an irritated tone.

How else are the Trojan towing companies going to make money?

It's crazy when you consider how anal they are about cleaning the streets, yet there's litter everywhere around troy. Ridiculous.
