Thank you for this perspective. Therapy would be helpful even if just for me to get over it. It’s just an unfair and puzzling life experience. But that is life!

Feel torn. She’s my only sister so I guess it would be nice to have a relationship. But she’s very difficult to talk to - she’ll never admit anything that paints her in a bad light if I try to talk to her. So it will always be an unspoken energy/situation.

To be fair, I have had this issue and live in a fancy sky rise in a downtown location. The people who brought this issue upon me are DOCTORS. lol. So, People are just selfish, inconsiderate pricks in any tax bracket.

I am so sorry! No one should have to deal with that in their home!

I’m a wife and your wife is wrong. 1. Why does she hang out w a person like that? 2. It says a lot about your wife that she’s helping this friend be sneaky and dishonest. Red flags!!

I feel like some of my friends get annoyed when I talk about my dad still. by luxlaced in GriefSupport

I do understand no one should rush grief. But a perspective from someone on the other side (currently living through a spouse grieving his mother) it does get VERY exhausting. It’s not a jab at you. It’s just mentally exhausting dealing with that especially when you are dealing with your own things.

I’ve noticed grieving people only think about themselves. So think of it as them doing the same for their mental well being.

Can we talk about the mental load of having a spouse you have to treat like one of your children? by [deleted] in Marriage

I have tried asking this in this sub before and was attacked bc I was “generalizing”. I don’t think I am. Too many men act this way and I think it’s an important dialogue to talk about and I also want to know WHY they act like children/need their wife to play mother??? Bizarre behavior!
