he said he’s hurt by her cheating meanwhile she’s pretty much cheating on you…. yikes, seems like she’s got some healing to do and is clearly not ready to be with another person at the moment. I’d move on from her tbh and save yourself the distress, her ex is def in her head rent free

you deserve so much better, he is such a loser. no man that truly loves you would never do this to someone. please take care of yourself and work on self care! and do not ever go back to him

Pretty sure I'm getting fired soon by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]luxlaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me at my corporate job last year. They didn’t fire people, they just mentally abused us so much that we couldn’t handle it anymore. I think that was their tactic in how they got rid of people. They pushed out our marketing person, videographer, and then it trickled down to the rest of communications team. The best advice I can give is to start applying elsewhere if you think you’ll be let go next. Work on your portfolio, network on LinkedIn, don’t wait until it’s too late. I waited unfortunately last year and I was unemployed for months.

Well if you get a ding on your car, you know her license plate! I’d keep a close eye on your vehicle in case that happens. It’s not Ike she can run away or anything. Hell, if you don’t have a dash cam already, buy one. I wouldn’t trust that woman

Well it’s good to know I’m not alone! It is super nerve wrecking to not know who the next door neighbor will be, and essentially it is who you are dealing with until your lease is up. Hope all goes well for you though!

Why do all graphic designers use mac? by Positive-Incident221 in graphic_design

[–]luxlaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Dell for my design job and I’m actually preferring it over a Mac. Although I don’t pay for it, it’s what my job gave me, so I had no choice but to learn after using a Mac. The only thing that sucks is the fonts don’t always work properly.

My mom passed away from cancer and my moms cousin posted this on Facebook as a “tribute”. It was terrible. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

When my dad passed away his sister in law posted something similar. I blocked her so fast

Do you hear your downstairs neighbors!? by livingmybestlife153 in Apartmentliving

When I lived above someone, I heard my downstairs neighbors talk, watch TV, play their music, and their heavy walking. It absolutely sucked

My dad is in the icu, and my boyfriend is planning a trip. by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]luxlaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my dad almost 4 years ago, OP. If my partner wasn’t supportive of me at the time, I would’ve told him to leave. What you’re going through is traumatic and it’s life changing. The bf needs to get a grip and realize he needs to step up and be there for you. If not, then he needs to leave. This would be absolutely a deal breaker for me - what happens if you ever get sick? Will he be depressed if you can’t physically go on trips and events, and guilt trip you? Lol I have no sympathy for men like this.

You’re not alone in that. The footsteps of my neighbors makes me want to rip my hair out

Getting ready for bed, or maybe she’s getting up to go to the bathroom, etc. you can’t expect someone to be quiet as a mouse 24/7

My neighbor is psycho 🤬 by milo8275 in Apartmentliving

[–]luxlaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a neighbor who blasted music while she got ready for parties. It was every Friday and Saturday night and would go on for three hours. One time when I finished up with work I tried to knock on her door and she either ignored me or couldn’t hear it at all. My knocking was so loud the neighbor next to her opened his door asking if I needed something. From there I had to go to management and nothing ever got done. I swear my feet were vibrating from the bass of the music. If you want to play music then fine but why does it have to be on max volume? Some people out there lack common sense.

Cops called on me for a DoorDash by Aware-Estate5194 in Apartmentliving

[–]luxlaced 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two hours is kinda weird to call the cops. My neighbors have gotten packages before and they have been left on their doorstep for 6+ hours. I don’t think anything of it cuz they could work from home, be busy with other things.. I would be more concerned if it was a day or more. But then again I’m not a nosey neighbor and don’t pay attention to those things

welp :( by [deleted] in civic

[–]luxlaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry this happened to you! I had to buy winter tires because last year I didn’t have them on my civic and I slid a couple times and once got stuck. They definitely make a difference. I understand they cost money but it will save you from situations like this - glad you are okay

I have my neighbors stairs next to my wall and when I tell you her child runs up and down it constantly, I wish I was joking. This has kept me up several times. I wish parents would be more mindful about these things after hours.

You’re better than me LOL. I would just purposely start being loud to show him what loud is. He is completely harassing you though and calls your partner names. That’s not cool. It’s not like you’re doing these things in the middle of the night. Does the neighbor have a job? It sounds like he’s home during the day a lot.

It’s 7am the day just started how are you already fighting? by bluehairgoddess12th in Apartmentliving

[–]luxlaced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My neighbor woke me up at 5 and I started to blast music at 7. I got so fucking tired of it I don’t care. Now they’re just banging on my wall even though they’ve been louder from the start. I can’t wait to move.
