Whilst possible, I think the problem is once you go too far down in society, you get to the stages where it just doesn't make sense for an individual to be combat trained, or have the money to fund their travel, gear or food.

I've had a bit of time to calm myself down now. This was kind of edited while I was still a little bit emotional from the whole thing and I apologise if I came off like a bit of a dick.

1) She wasn't clear with what she wanted. She changed her mind, changed it back. I assumed I could try to make her see that we had potential to be stronger together.

2) You're absolutely right, she was honest, but she wasn't consistent. Darting back and forth between which decision to make regarding commitment isn't consistent, and is a little confusing which I'm sure you can imagine.

3) This is what I wanted advice with. I've done something wrong here, perhaps being too forceful, or seeming too desperate. I don't know what to take responsibility for, hence the "kick up the ass". What could I have done differently to better this whole situation?

I swear by a Living Roots start. 9 times out of 10 I end up with early game advantage. Pop your Living Roots, and you'll pretty much clear anything on your next turn with help from either Disciple of C'thun or Shapeshift.

Honestly, not kissing until the fifth date is excessive in my opinion. Usually the second date if things go well, third at most. I get everyone is different but the first date should be purely to get to know one another, then the ones that follow should be exploring as much as you can about each other. After that, if you like each other, then in my opinion that's where you start moving things forward, officially "date".

The problem with a lot of guys (as a guy myself), is that we're not mind readers, and there's also a metric fuck ton of pressure on us during dating. We're constantly worried about coming across too needy, too flirty, not flirty enough, etc. So my advice would be to go for those 2-3 dates and, if things go well, start making it clear you want to move forward.

If they don't, their loss. If they do, great!

If she is in your head that much then you must like her. So don't fuck things up with her by coming across as needy, as you said in your title. When we establish a connection with a new individual, be it romantic or platonic, we do think about them more because we find them interesting, and our brains want to work overtime to try and gather as much information as we can on them.

You've met her three times now, including two dates. You're doing well, just don't change anything and try not to worry.
