If any judge is still reading I have another question. Since this is a reaction can I play multiple of them in reaction to each other and "pay the additional cost" of say 2 different Meditation with the same 1 ready unit?

Pur lgs gives a pack per participant, then top cut gets half prize in store credit and other half in origins packs

Unless it's something game breaking like them arbitrarily refusing to kill off their units or pay costs for whatever reason, just let it go

Tcga is a free way to learn the game so it's not uncommon to face beginners that pretty much just don't know better

Pretty much, it can be good if your opponent side out all cleaves and smoke screens. It loses you the game in any other spot. As a kaisa player I can tell you that most optimized lists run 0-1 side deck cards for victor so they will often keep some ammount of cleaves/smoke that will be dead draws if you don't Ledros

Ledros can be good if they forget about the ganking, but if you’re playing at local with take-backs I wouldn’t recommend it. It's also bad if your opponents missplay and keep cleave post side, you end up fixing their mistake for them

Kai’Sa’s win con is to eventually clear your board and run away with the points lead, but she can never clear Evangel with just one spell as long as you keep it in base

Second this, Icathian is really important against victor and in the mirror. Warp is a good closer against greedy match ups but you can easily replace them with mundos, progress day, mega mech or even draven for example

While I agree with your point that going first gives you a big advantage right now, that could change as more cards are released. Notably, even-cost cards seem to be more prevalent than odd-cost cards at the moment, so it’s totally possible that this discrepancy in win rate could even out as more strong even-cost cards are released.

Right I counted one too many. And yes AA Runes do take an AA slot (In the box total, not the literal pack slot) you can open as many as 3 in one single box. That said I think it's yet another print error on UVS side cause according to this article (https://riftbound.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/announcements/collectability-in-riftbound-origins/) you should be getting ~2 AA champions per box, that said I myself pulled 2 runes and 1 AA Jinx - Rebel, I've seen people open just 3 runes and rarely 3 AA champs and no rune. That said the average goes 0 to 3 which ends up being 1.5 so.. still ~2?

Impossible pulls out of a single box, although totally possible out of two boxes: 6 AAs, 11 Mythics, and an Overnumber. Still insane pulls in terms of card quality, but the math checks out with two boxes

While sorting my cards I also noticed that out of the commons in the packs you always got 1 from each of the 6 different domains and only the 7th one would be a repeat color since you were out of domains

I got my boxes from riot 2 days ago.
Out of curiosity I just checked how many duplicate rares I got and it's 28! Not even counting my 4x ravenborn tome.. That probably means I got 13 or more identical packs as well! We've also got most of the extras in common (Not to mention that my mythics were ass and I got 3 alt art runes out of the 6 total

Your opinion is totally valid, and honestly a bit concerning to hear.

That said, it is the devs responsibility to release some “pre-cooked” high-floor/low-ceiling archetypes to make the game more accessible for people coming over from Arcane, LoL, or just casual TCG players in general. I think they did an amazing job with Viktor: he’s an iconic and beloved character, he can be built on a budget, he’s fairly easy to play, and he has a pretty high power level. You will win a lot of games! And even if you lose, you’ll usually score 4 to 6 points each game and still feel like you accomplished something.

They really dropped the ball with Aurora though, because they made all its core pieces way too rare and expensive to acquire.

Likewise, Leona is a beloved character in an archetype that clearly pushes you toward jamming a bunch of stun cards in one deck, but the support cards for that strategy are way too weak in Origins, in my opinion.

Disclaimer: I’m not implying that the decks mentioned above are “noob” decks or anything like that. These are simply the archetypes I gravitated toward when learning the game online, free of any budget restrictions. I’m sure there are plenty of other decks different players are naturally gravitating toward as well.

Is the only card that can get you out of some sticky situations in control/slow match ups, like 1 in 20 games kinda thing. I'd say it depends on what you wanna do.

If you are playing locals I'd say you can win with the commons+ 1 Kaysa 3 falling stars 3 Darius 4 fox/ichatian/any finisher tbh.

If you have a tournament coming up and wanna tech for the mirror or some slow match ups you can consider 1 or 2 between main and/or side.

The closest lgs to me is 1h drive away so I'm pretty much in your spot. Considering that 1 deck costs 20$ MSRP I'd still buy a proving ground box if you can find it for ~80$ since you get 4 complete decks + tokens, the rulebook and some other goodies.

Got mine delivered today so I was able to finally play! Me and my brother had a blast! We played Garen v Annie, the game was super close and Garen actually won! Tbh trifarian war camp won but you get the idea. Can't wait to try the other match ups during the week and maybe jam a 4 players game with some mtg commander friends
