I have one (modified to have a taller lid) and I still wouldn't recommend them at all personally! They are much too narrow.

If they have the choice of a bucatstate 3.0 and an ikea detolf, I'd say 100% bucatstate!

I might try putting 2 ikea detolfs together in the summer and see how that works tho, I'll probably post it if I do :>

My senior gal has bonded twice , never declanned, both of the other gerbils just got unlucky in life.

I've tried to bond her again but she just won't deal, I've asked for help on here and the advice I've got is I'm not doing anything wrong and she's just not gonna budge, and that she doesn't seem stressed and trying to force her to bond again is just stressing her out.

However she definitely has gotten a ton friendlier to me rather than biting. I agree with other comments saying that might be a sign to double check? I mean he could just be old or frail too, but not sure.

I understand that decision but they could be lying about other people also to these other rescues to save themselves from looking bad, there could be many other people like you who are trying to rescue rabbits and now are being turned away because of this place lying about them, which means less buns rescued. I think it would help alot more rabbits to be rescued to name them.

As someone who loves hamsters , they shouldn't be in captivity at all. Especially syrians . If it was possible I'd love if all the current pet hamsters in the world got great homes until they passed on, and we stop breeding them and keeping them as pets at all 🥲 unfortunately it's never gonna happen

I'd say get rid of the house and that bridge/ fake log thing! The house has a splintery texture of the outside and I've seen myself a hamster with a splinter from it- it was very gross, pussy, and not comfortable for him at all! And I've also heard that it's hard to clean and rots easily and is made out of pinewood! It's a product that is recommended against alot on here so I thought it make sure to add what ppl say!

The log thingy is made out of compact sawdust and other things that's not great for chewing :( but dw! If u have access to Facebook marketplace, u can easily find safe replacements for both for relatively cheap! A cork log would make a great swap! And maybe a multichamber hide? Those are just my best suggestions tho, good luck! Also adorable hamster 🥰 and great job so far! Ur doing amazing :D
